Martin Luther King Day

Hello everyone,

Me and DH have decided to take a quick trip in Jan, Hoping to do Sun-Fri
Turns out the week we are planning on going is Martin Luther King day, and the sunday was completly booked of studios..
Is there a chance our waitlist will come through?
I'm Canadian (I had never heard of that holiday)

I booked OKW for the mon -friday, and waitlisted for the sunday night.
(I also waitlisted for AKV Value as it is the same amount of points- But only two of the nights were available now for that week, so I took the 4 night at OKW so we have that forsure)

Just wondering, when people waitllist, should I reserve a night with Cro for the sunday night in case the waitlist doesn't come through??

Also I wanted to say I'm so excited to be staying at OKW It looks really nice!!!

Normally I would say you have a good chance, but the night before a national holiday would be very difficult. Probably there are many already ahead of you on the wait list. I would make an alternate plan, like maybe take a room at a moderate or value resort if available, so that way you have a place to stay at least.

Also, check with MS as they may have a room that night available on a cash basis - 25% off rack rate is the DVC discount. Good luck!

I asked MS about a DVC discount and she said to call back because the rates were not out or something like that. I'll call back in a week or so I guess
Last year before being DVC members we stayed at POR and really enjoyed it, so maybe this is our chance to stay there again for a night.
