Why kill the messenger?
Bashir wasn't a raving tabloid journalist in this report. For the most part, he held a mirror up to MJ and just let his actions and words tell the story.

They teach it in journalism 101 - show, don't tell. And he certainly did that.

Bottom line: It appears MJ hasn't been in touch with reality for some time. I never cared a whit about him before. I hate his music, and thought he was just an odd man. But now, I honestly feel bad for him. I wish him well and hope he finds someone or something that can ground him a bit.

That said, it appears to me as if Bashir did his job: He made me care about something I was previously ambivilent about. He didn't take cheap shots. He showed what he saw, drew a conclusion and presented it.

I do believe the only reason he is not in prison for molesting a child is because the family settled out of court.
Funny how a celebrity can settle out of court for such a horrible crime but anyone else would go to prison.
I believe the child was molested. It's too bad the parents settled out of court, that I don't understand and never will. But then again you have to be a fruit cake to let your child spend the night at his house.

Does anyone remember the young man who was on tv discussing how he was abused by MJ? He came forward, I believe after the 13 yr old did. He was older 18-20? when he came forward? He had nothing to gain by coming forward, it was too late to press criminal charges. I have yet to find someone besides myself that remembers this interview.
