Why kill the messenger?
Bashir wasn't a raving tabloid journalist in this report. For the most part, he held a mirror up to MJ and just let his actions and words tell the story.
They teach it in journalism 101 - show, don't tell. And he certainly did that.
Bottom line: It appears MJ hasn't been in touch with reality for some time. I never cared a whit about him before. I hate his music, and thought he was just an odd man. But now, I honestly feel bad for him. I wish him well and hope he finds someone or something that can ground him a bit.
That said, it appears to me as if Bashir did his job: He made me care about something I was previously ambivilent about. He didn't take cheap shots. He showed what he saw, drew a conclusion and presented it.
