Anyone stayed at Harbour Lake the first of May? We have stayed at this resort before but never in May. Can anyone tell me how crowded it is? What about the weather? We moved our vacation time up to May instead of June. It is just too hot in June. What about the crowds at the parks? Im hoping they are not as crowded since school is not out yet. Any info on the new buildings? Are they finished yet?

May is a great time to go. We go every year the first or second week of May and stay at Cypress Harbour or Horizons/Harbour Lake. Temps will be probably high 80's. The crowds are better at this time because the kiddies are still in school for the most part.

There is a new building open (close to the entrance).

I just stayed 2 nights and was in bldg 29. The whole villa was so clean and fresh - it had been remodeled with fresh carpets and furniture. The beds were very comfortable! We were on the top floor, which is nice, and overall I wish we'd stayed there the whole trip (moved over to a 1 bedroom Boardwalk Villa, which was super tiny compared to the 2 bedroom Marriott, plus it needs renovation over there). We didn't use the pools, so can't comment.

We stayed in the Sunken Treasure Building last summer. We have stayed at Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge before so I know what you mean. I love staying on Disney property but for the price and extra room, Harbour Lakes is really a better choice. Last summer my family of four, my parents and my brother stayed in a villa with a lockout. We had plenty of room. Having 2 bathrooms and 2 kitchens is a huge plus. We went to the parks 3 out of the 7 days we were there. We stayed at the resort the other 4 days. I have 2 teenagers and they even loved this place. They loved the pools and the putt putt. There is plenty to do. Im sure some time in the future we will stay back on Disney property but for now I am so glad we found this wonderful resort and am so looking forward to staying there again in May.

We stayed May 1st to 4th the year before last. It was HOT, not humid at all though. The resort wasn't that crowded. We only went to US and Sea World and the crowds weren't bad at all.

I can take the heat without the humidity. Good to hear. Also, good to hear about the crowds.

We are considering going the same week (one less day). Im glad to hear it is such a nice resort and that the temps will be nice.
