Ok, I can get the World for $148 vs JW for $230 a night that is including taxes & everything at either place. Is it worth it to splurge the $82 a night to get at JW? We are a family of 4 with 2 DD's 10 & 13.

What would you do & why? :jumping1:

Thanks, YO

Hope you don't mind asking where you got these rates at and how long they are good for?
thanks!

robinrs, sorry to think everyone knew what JW was. It is the JW Marriot.
It is supposed to be the nicer place of the Marriotts.

Lewisc, we will be leaving RPR Club, 4 nights and then doing SW. We'd like to see & do nice places.

LisaRay, I got these rates through our AAA agent. They were better than anything I could find. I have looked hard. She acted like I needed to take them while they were available. So not sure how long they would be around.
She had the same rate at the Rennassance, that's also a Marriott near SW. I think this place has a better pool and is nicer overall.

I am hoping some posters will enlighten me on the place. With a few reviews.

Thanks, YO

We stay at the Marriott World every year but stay at their villas on-site - the Sabal Palms (2BR villa), Royal Palm (2BR villa) or Imperial Palms (3BR villa) - the pool at the World is fabulous - I've never stayed at the JW but highly recommend the World property - I'd check out the rates in the villas - you'll probably find them comparable to JW and you'd have all that extra space to spread out - especially with the age of your kids - have fun

Thanks for letting me in on the "JW" guys! Hope you get your answer coachyo!

themuses, I was wondering do you stay at those places just for the size of the rooms or is there another advantage? :cool1:

From what I have read, when you stay at some of those places, they tend to be pushy about doing the timeshare visit. Unfortunatley, I do not like to be pushed by these guys :rolleyes2 . I try to be nice but I'm on vacation and I don't want to be pestered by people selling something I don't want, I tend to have a short fuse with them :furious: . Then I end up in hot water with my better half  .

I'm still looking for reviews on The World Center. Anyone out there want to share? :teeth:

Thanks, YO

My daughters and I stayed at the Marriott World Center for a week in Spring of 2004 -- it was a really nice place. Our room was large and lovely, the pool area was beautiful, etc. We even had a view from our balcony of the Disney fireworks, which was really nice. I haven't been to JW Marriott so I can't compare them, but don't think you would be unhappy with the World Center for that price.
