Does anyone have any expereince with the transportation from MWC to WDW? Convenient or should we rent a car?

For the little amount of money that the car costs (midsizes usually run around $140 p/week) it really will save you time in the long run. If im not mistaken I think Marriott charges for transporation too?

about $11 per person, round trip. So a family of four $44/day.... even considering parking charges on site and at the resort, it's probably worth it to rent a car.

And driving from the Marriott couldn't be easier - exit the resort and turn right, straight to WDW!

Marriott charges for parking (even self-parking) and charges for the shuttle service to WDW.

I'd go with a rental car but second choice would be to use taxis.

Taxi's would get up there pretty fast also. Figure on about a $10 fare e/w plus tip to MK...even more to AK or Blizard Beach....

According to the Orlando World Center Marriott FAQ:

Walt Disney World Theme Parks:
Shuttle service from the hotel to the Disney attractions is available by 90-minute advance reservation for scheduled morning departure times. The cost is $13.00 roundtrip for adults or children. Children under four years are free.

I would hate to be tied to a limited shuttle schedule, designed for Orlando World Center Marriott guests going to WDW in the morning and returning in the evening — especially considering the cost of the shuttle.

I think a rental car is the way to go. If someone doesn't want to deal with driving, then a taxi would be a good option.

Ok, here 's the thing. We are staying at WDW and dh has to go to MWC for meetings during the day.

Cabs $10 really? Thats way better then I thought it would be. Isnt there a cab estimator somewhere?
