Has anyone stayed at either of these? We are looking at the Main Gate for October...we stayed in 1999 and it was nice but I see it has been renovated. We would like the kitchen this time, nothing worse than washing sippy cups in the bathroom sink :rotfl2:

We stayed at the one in Garden Grove (more affordable for a 2 bedroom option at the time) and LOVED it. The breakfast was fabulous (enough that we stuffed ourselves and then only ate a late lunch/dinner, so saved money), ART was prompt and fast, the staff was curteous, and the room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary grocery shopping is nice as well. Plus M-Th they have a free snack type thing in the afternoon if you're back there then (we weren't). Both the RI have a kiddie (wading) pool as well as a regular pool.

We absouletly love the Residence Inn. We've stayed there twice with this last time being for 2 weeks. The breakfast buffet they do is great. I love the space the rooms give you. House keeping was great. They even run the dishwasher for you :) . We find it a very walkable walk but my kids aren't really little either. You can take the ART (which we did do aswell). Also it is right across the street from the new Garden Walk which has tons of restaurants and shops.

I do have some pictures from our last trip if you want to see them I can post them. We stayed in a delux 1 bedroom suit.

I am planning to stay at the RI Maingate next month for the first time. I would love to see the pics if you're able to post them.

I hope you will like it there as much as we do! These pictures are from our last trip when we stayed in an upgraded 1 bedroom suit.

The first picture is when you first walk through the door.

Here is the little kitchenette that you get and table(the stove and microwave are around the corner).

I hope these are okay. Sorry I didn't take more. The delux 1 bedroom is a little bigger than a regular 1 bedroom with that extra eating area at the end of the livingroom. It was nice because when my boys went to bed at night we could watch tv in the livingroom and they wouldn't hear a thing with the door closed. Our only complaint was that the airconditioning in the bedroom wasn't as cool as the rest of the room.

Thanks for posting those :) Sounds like it's just as good as it was ten years ago :cool1:

The 6 of us have stayed at Maingate numerous times. Love the free grocery shopping and the breakfast. To us it is an easy walk to the park.

Thanks for posting the pictures! From all the reviews I've read it sounds like a great place to stay.
