Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Village in Lake Buena Vista. The Fairfield Inn seem very reasonable.

Thanks

Stayed there about 5 times. Latest last Nov.
Usually pay around £30-35/nt, depends on time of year, I am looking for Easter but struggling to find it under £40/nt.
Breakfast is OK, Comfy beds, friendly staff, internet not the fastest but adequate, 2 min walk to Bahama Breeze.
Only 2 negatives, they charge $5 to recieve a package for you and traffic, OK if you want to go up to the Premium Outlet but getting to Disney (right off Vineland to SR535) it can be a nightmare, I often turn left then u-turn and come back.

Thanks that's so helpful. Yes it is very reasonable - what are the breakfasts like? Muffins/waffles etc. Usually stay on site, so sure this will be very different.

Hi - we stayed at the Marriott Village in October/Nov last year. We really liked it and were very impressed for the money.

Breakfasts consisted of bagels/bread/English muffins to toast, waffles to make yourself, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, muffins and usually something warm like scrambled eggs, potatoes and ham or sausage patties and plenty of choice in drinks.

We had not problem with traffic at any point we were there and really liked the location. Bahama Breeze is great and Golden Corral is pretty good for what it is and they are both in walking distance. A few minutes either way on the main road are Dennys, Millers Alehouse (recommended), CiCis Pizza, Red Lobster and loads of others. If your not staying in WDW it's ideal. :goodvibes

Cereals, Muffins, Bagels, cold boiled eggs(sometimes staff offer to drop them in boiling water for a minute) various prepacked things to put in micro like egg & bacon in biscuit etc. & fruit. Juices, teas & coffee.
They used to have waffle makers but not this last visit.
Could just do with some bread to make toast, I saw some taking their own.

Yes it will be a lot different when compared to staying on site especially when compared to your last trip at SSR but for the price and it's position it's possibly one of the best choices around.

We needed a short stay on our arrival last year and choose the Fairfield Inn from the recommendations on this site (mainly Wayne) and it was an excellent choice and at a great price.

Agree with all that's been said regarding the hotel and the breakfast choice was more than enough and included in the price, so Fairfield would be a great choice.

Because we're arriving late again this year we're thinking of canceling our first night at another resort and book at the Fairfield, that's if we can get a good price; £44 is the cheapest we've found today with www.travelrepublic.co.uk and £45 with www.clever-hotels.com while some sites are quoting around £70.

Best of luck....

:) hi all.

I just booked this hotel with the mouse savers rate, and got it for $114 per night in May. Pretty good I thought. Missed the spring savers discount for Value Resorts by 1 day. :( But I've stayed at one of the other hotels in this compound before and its very clean. Fairfield inn having free breakfast and internet sealed the deal for me.

This year is going to be very budget oriented, or we wouldn't be going at all, and after looking all over the place this was perfect. I hope we snag one of the bunk suites...my kids will love that!

You don't get the same deals in the US as we get in the UK, never paid more then $60 including tax myself. I have priced up for August and can get it just under $60/nt but waiting for a better deal.

Wow! I guess we don't!

We visited London in 2006 and paid so much more for everything, and the value of dollar to pound must work to your advantage. :). Lucky.
