and need to confess!
I'm in looooovvve!
Okay, I've been married to The Wilderness Lodge for 5 years now and I love it so very dearly. But alas..this year, I strayed to the Poly...and there were sparks flying all over the place.
I wasn't able to book at the 11 month window at my beloved Lodge and there was nothing available for Thanksgiving by the time I was able to book so I booked a cabin at Fort Wilderness for the first 6 nights and a water view room at the Yacht Club for the last 4. (no rooms available at the Poly either, btw). When we got down there, I just kept calling.. and the day before we were to move to the Yacht Club, I was able to snag the Polynesian! Can you hear me squeal?? (That new $95.00 fee bit me in the butt a few times though! I hated that.) When we checked in, we received a lovely garden view room but when we got there, we found a maintenance crew, ladders, ceilings down and work being done, much to our surprise. Soooo, we called down to the front desk and they said, whoopsie, that room was supposed to be offline. We are so sorry. Guess we'll have to put you in CONCIERGE for your trouble! (Hello, trouble? The place was gorgeous! I would have been happy to sleep by the pool, thank you very much). Needless to say, it was a very magical few days, every minute of which I enjoyed. Thanks to DVC, we are not park commandos, so we really got to enjoy lounging around the resort. I just can't tell you how wonderful it felt.
So....while I still love the Wilderness Lodge, and it was my first love....I'm just not sure I can give up my new love.
I'm still on cloud nine. Grin. With a screen name like mine, can ya really blame me?
