I printed out an initial form that was on the courthouse website and faxed it to the number they provided. I did this on November 19th. How long does it take for them to mail you all the documents to fill out? Should it have taken this long? If I call would they actually tell me anything? :confused3

I'd call them and have them check that they got it. It could be that they saw February on your application and thought they could wait a bit to process it, but if you explain that you are having a destination wedding and need it before you leave town, they can turn it around quickly. :thumbsup2

yay I was hoping you would answer! Yeah that is what I am thinking. I will give them a call when my boss leaves the office. :rotfl: I thought this was kind of taking a while. Thanks Carrie!

Our wedding is Jan 12th. We faxed in the initial form on a Sunday Nov 9th, they mailed us the paperwork back and we received it on Friday Nov 21st (we live in MN), we notorized it that day and sent it back 2 day express mail on Nov 21st, and then we received the final paperwork that we take with us to WDW on Friday the 28th.

That initial delay of the 9th through th 21st freaked me out a bit but there was a federal holiday which may have delayed things as well.

Let us know what you find out! :goodvibes

Well I just got off the phone with them and they said they usually will send them out a little later based on my wedding date. She said I should have something by January. That makes me nervous but I guess they know what they are doing.

I can see why they do that, but it would still make me a little nervous to only have a few weeks to get it notarized. As Sarah pointed out, though, they can turn it around really quickly once you do...

You can bet I'd be on the phone with them at 9am sharp on Jan. 5 asking when it was to be sent out! :lmao:

Toni - don't worry. I sent them my application a week before my 1 month mark and I was still able to get everything back in time for the wedding. They know what they're doing.

toni, they did the same thing with me. i sent mine in nov for my jan wedding and everything was just fine, even with the post office screwing it up once...

Oh good! You all made me feel so much better! Luckily I work in a law office and I am surrounding by notaries including myself! LOL. To bad I can't notarize my own papers!
