Marrakesh with kids?

Ate there our last two trips and I gotta say, it's my favorite restaurant now.
We don't have children yet, but there were a bunch of kids when we went who really enjoyed dancing with the belly dancer. I don't know how they felt about the food though. I didn't like it when I was little, but that was quite a while ago.

We made a last minute reservation at Marakesh last Sunday and we were pleasantly surprised - we really had no idea what to expect. My daughter (13) had a fish dish with some veggies for a side, DS had a beef shish kebab (I know I spelled that wrong), I had a vegetarian platter and DH had the chicken shish kebab. They handled our food allergies well, with very little notice. The belly dancer and music were fun. Overall, it was nice - food was good! Quiet atmosphere!

If it's the same fish dish I had (mogador fish tagine), the veggies were roasted tomatoes, baby red potatoes, peppers (some sort of mild chile), and olives (but I hate olives and they were easy to ignore). A tagine is a clay pot, they put the fish and veggies in a clay pot and put the pot in the oven. There's a review in my May report.

The PP's daughter is a Disney adult, remember, and your son is a Disney child. I don't know if Marrakesh has a kids' menu.

We don't have kids, but all the kids in the restaurant seemed to be having fun, it's a really cool-looking restaurant and the belly dancer invites them up to dance with her.

thank you for sharing your experience. What veggies did your daughter get? My son loves veggies.

Both of my kids are DDP adults, so we didn't see a child's menu...All Ears net probably has one. My carrot hating daughter loved the carrots (I don't care for carrots and neither does DH but we all agreed the carrots were yummy!).

My daughter also had roasted tomatoes and potatoes. I had a spread of vegetarian/gluten free things...a potato salad, carrots, a tomato cucumber salad, eggplant and olives (I am not an olive eater! They tasted okay though).

My son was wearing a birthday button and when they served his dessert they came out with instruments and put a fez on his head and sang happy birthday to him, another nice surprise.

There were a bunch of younger children dancing with the belly dancer on the dance floor - they looked like they were having a great time.

We loved Marrakesh with DS5. Had a 12:30 lunch and the first show starts at 12:50, then about every hour.

The music was great and so was the belly dancing. The food was delicious and service was probably the best or in the top 3 of all restaurants. I loved the mint tea and mint ice cream.

Some children danced with the belly dancer but my DS5 was a little too shy for that....

My boys have had the vegetable couscous both times we had dinner there, they liked it just fine. I don't remember what veggies were in it, though.
