Mario Kart Ride System?

Dynamic Attractions released a promotion video for a ride system that matches what the Mario Kart ride would seem to fit exactly. DA helped create Forbidden Journey and Jimmy Fallon so they are already in bed with Universal. Looks like an amazing system.

Definitely looks like something that would be a perfect fit for a Mario Kart attraction. The ride system looks amazing and so much fun. can't wait to see it in action for real.

So the test track slot car approach but it has the ability to do inversions. That would definitely be fun for Mario Kart.

I thought so too but inversions would take it out of the family ride realm. Also, the part about the ability to simulate a jump fits with the Donkey Kong ride so maybe this would be for that ride and not Mario Kart.

Good point. Have they said MK is going to be a family ride (I haven't paid attention)? My son and all his first grade friends love MK. That's one ride where he would be bitterly disappointed to be too short for. On the other hand, having a ride that can do much of what the game can do would be awesome for older riders.

In another forum I read with lots of insider posts, the belief is that the Dynamic Attractions Ride system was in consideration early on (i.e. Universal was actually working together with DA on it), but that they parted ways a while back and this system won't be used.

So DA finished the development of it on their own to use elsewhere but it won't be for Mario Kart in Universal.

But we won't know for sure until Universal actually finishes building out Mario Kart to see what was used.
