I've been wanting to get this for my kids since last Christmas. I've never seen it in stores and ebay prices were always higher than retail, currently outrageous. ToysRUs.com had some a few weeks ago but in trying to decide whether to buy two and sell one on ebay I waited a few days and ended up missing out totally! :badpc: :furious: Completely my fault, but now that game which costs $49 and had been buy it now for $74 on ebay is selling for well over $100!!! Obviously smarter ppl bought multiples when TRU had them in stock.

Am I stuck waiting another year? Does anyone know of any stores that regularly carry this item or does anyone have a used one their child is now bored with that is in excellent shape? I imagine many kids play with it for a week or two and then never again, or want to move up to the XBox DDR games which I think are inappropriate for my 7 and 10 yr dd's. I don't want to wait until they're too old to appreciate the simplicity of the Mario version. If anyone happens to see it at their store and picks it up I'd be happy to pay the shipping costs if not more than $10 on top of the retail price. Or I'm happy with "like new" used quality also.

Any advice is appreciated. thanks.

Last year, my youngest DS could not make up his mind if he wanted it or not and missed the sales and specials that led up to Christmas. We ended up buying it at regular price the weekend after Christmas. I just asked him if he has heard of where else they might be sold and he does not know.....he stopped looking for it after he got one.

He loves playing it and, when he gets started, the rest of us will sometimes join in! We love laughing at each other....!

Sorry I can't give you advice of where to look for it but, if you find it again, buy it and keep the receipt. Then, if you change your mind, you can just return it. Good luck. :wizard:

I saw it at Hastings last week.

My kids love this game too.. I lucked out and got one from walmart.com last year for christmas.. I just checked, and didn't see it though.

DS is calling around town now to see if any stores have a new one for the original price. We are a very rural area and we don't have much in the way of shopping but if he finds one tucked in a corner somewhere, we would be happy to send it to you....no problem! :thumbsup2

We'll see what he finds out.....

I found one a few weeks ago at a local gaming store. I've also found it used. Keep calling around and maybe you'll get lucky.

I just saw that on Amazon.com, don't know if it was available but might be worth a look.

This may not do you any good now since it's christmas time, but I bought this at Bestbuy back in May. :goodvibes

oh man, good luck. I tried to get one for my son last year, and this year, and am still trying. All the stores are telling me they won't be back at all. Ouch. Since I only have about $100 to spend on each kid, getting one on Ebay would mean ds6 is getting NOTHING else. So far, I have skipped getting one. Bummer. When they were gone last year, same thing -- nobody was going to get any more.

What was the MSRP?

Have y'all thought about buying one used? I know it's not the same, but you might have better luck finding one. It's still expensive, though. The used one I found was $40 without a pad. The pads are around $10 on eBay. I was still going to buy it because they don't make these anymore, but I lucked up and found a new one.

I "think" I bought this for my daughter. She was asking for the Dance Dance Revolution game that you hook up to PS2. Is this the same thing? I bought it for $60 at EB Games. Maybe they have a website you could order from.

Good luck to you.

Check around the country with friends and relatives in other towns or states and see if they will watch for the game in their local area for you. It is not too late to have them send it to you if they should find it. :wizard:

Thank you everyone for all the suggestions and well wishes! I would consider a good used one. I've worried about the mat since they can take a beating and the game's no good without it. I know you can buy non-nintendo mats fairly cheaply and will have to do so if I want less arguments over who's turn it is. :rotfl: It looks like mtblujeans has found one for me so hopefully we can find cheap shipping and I won't be too much of a fool for hesitating when ToysRUs had them with free shipping for about two days.

Merry Christmas everyone!!

to the poster below me, yup! :disrocks:
