Marily & Bryan's Fairytale 11/1/11 @WP *Update* 12/25

Oooooh! I like the first one!

The castle and the flowery-color scheme make it very romantic. :goodvibes

Great job on the Save the Dates! I like both of them...I think it depends on what you want. The first one is more elegant, the second more fun and partyish. You cannot go wrong with either one.:cool1:

Hey ladies thank you for responding. I'm torn. I like them both. However DF prefers the 2nd one. Which is weird because he doesn't really want too much Disney stuff at the wedding. Originally I was doing like a Cinderella type theme but I started noticing he wasn't to enthused about it. So now I think I might keep it more classic with a few hidden Mickey's here and there. It's his wedding too and I want him to be happy. I think he's ok with a few Disney touches but just not so much the cartoons. Oh well that's it for now.

DO THE CRUISE!!! I am a Disney Cruise Bride (or atleast I was 2 years ago...LOL) and The cruise is magical and there are whole days you can go without ever seeing a child! LOL I have been on 7 Disney Cruises and love them more and more each time I go! We had over 30 people come to our wedding and since I am a Travel Agent I booked all of their trips. It was added stress for sure, but I wouldn't have had it any other way, I needed to make sure everyone loved it. We had alot of couples without kids (only 4 kids came) and they all adored the cruise! PM me if you have ANY questions at all!

Hi everyone a lil update. I'm a lil concerned at the moment. I just recently realized that my DF doesn't have his birth certificate. :scared1: It started when we decided to go on DCL for our honeymoon. Just recently I was reading about the requirements for him to get his passport and that's when I discovered it. The real problem is that DF doesn't have any family. His only family were his grandparents which have since passed. To make matters worse he doesn't have his mother's maiden name. I called our lovely state of NJ and they will not give him a copy of his birth certificate without his mother's maiden name and there's no way to get it. Idk wat to do. :sad2: It's not so much even about the cruise but don't you need a copy of your birth certificate to get married!? So needless to say i've been stressing and not sure where to go from here.

Yikes! Did they have any advice? Does he know where he was born at all? Which hospital or anything? You might want to hire a genealogy service, maybe they could find his mom and her maiden name?Idon't know if this link is any help, but maybe? http://www.ancestry.com/search/rect...=bmdrecords&o_xid=0001769072&o_lid=0001769072
Does he have a passport? A SS card?Maybe someone can use those to trace him?

No they couldn't get me off the phone fast enough. The only thing they said is that I might have to get a court order to release them and lord only knows how long that will take. Besides we tried calling the courts and they have no idea what we are even talking about. The messed up thing is he has all other documents knows all the information except mother's maiden name. And despite that they won't give it to him. I'm starting to get really upset about. It's not fair to punish someone just because they have no family. He doesn't have a passport which is how we discovered this whole mess. When I went to tell him what he needed for a passport he told me oh I don't have my BC. I don't know what to do. We have like a lil over 2 weeks left to confirm and I'm scared of sending the deposit and than not being able to get married. :sad1: Sorry if I'm venting on here. I haven't told my parents because I don't want to worry them and DF just gets angry whenever it's brought up. Thanx for the link I'm going to look into it.

Don't apologize for venting! It's definitely a nerve-wrecking situation!
I wonder if you could hire a PI or someone who has access to those types of records, to find out who his mom is? It's terrible that it is so difficult!

I know you are so stressed about the BC thing. I can tell you that one place that may be able to help you is the school district in which he attended elementary through high school. It is one of the documents needed to register a child in school and I know here in FL you can request the documents and they have most of them on micro fiche or scanned into a computer. Most of those records are not shredded but kept on file.

Oh no thats awful. I really hope it all gets sorted out soon for both of you!!

This may be a longshot but maybe worth a try -- has he tried contacting the school system that he was enrolled in as a kid? I know when I registered DD for school I had to bring in a copy of her birth certificate. Maybe they have a copy in his old school file and from that he could get the info he needs to order an official copy. Good luck!:goodvibes

ETA: Ooops! I didn't see that someone already posted this same suggestion! Sorry, I read your post last night when I wasn't logged in and just came back to reply and didn't see that. So sorry for the repeat!

Hi ladies thank you so much for your replies. He actually did try and contact his school. They told him that they no longer had his records on file. So on Monday he's going to try 2 see if he can call the board of education. On the other note. Belle2Be I've been trying to trace her using the link you gave me and I'm not sure it's her but there's a slight possibility I may have found her last night! If I did find her I'm naming my first child after you. :rotfl: Seriously though keep your fingers crossed for me that either he can find it through the board of education or that I stumbled on the correct name. I'm sitting here on pins and needles because we can't do anything til Monday since all that is closed on weekends. Wish me luck! :shamrock:

ooo good luck! My fingers and toes are crossed for you! Sending lots of pixie dust your way!! pixiedust:

Good Luck to you! Yes, the school would no longer have the information, it would be at the school board office or the district/township archives. My fingers are crossed for you!!

Thank you ladies. You're so sweet :grouphug: On a positive note my wedding shoes came in today! Yey!! I went with these

They are soo gorgeous in person. One of them is slightly big on me so I'm going to see if I get the insoles to see if that fixes it if not I might have to go a half size down.

On another note not wedding related my sister and I bought our Halloween costumes today. Here's mine
6548_COSTUME.jpg

I thought it was cute because it lights up! My sister bought a Tinkerbell one that lights up as well. We felt it was a good investment because next year we will be in Disney for Halloween so we are planning on wearing our Disney themed costumes next year as well. :lmao: Well that's it for now.

MRS B where did you get your shoes from I Love them but im not a big pink fan so would love to get another colour. Also where did you get your costume from I am looking for a Tinkerbell one for a Birthday Party I am going to its a fairytale character party!

Shoes are fabulous! I think the costume is cute and great job planning on being able to wear it twice!

Thanks everyone. I love them 2!:lovestruc Mareeld86. I got them from zappos.com They have them in different colors. I know for sure a blue and like an ivory. I'm not sure if there were others. They're actually comfortable. They're not too high so your foot isn't at like a weird angle. As for the costume I bought it at a store but I was searching for it for you and they have it on buy-costumes.com. Here's the link to it. http://www.buycostumes.com/Wonderlands-De-Light-Light-up-Adult-Costume/68621/ProductDetail.aspx?AID=5021360&PID=3997873&SID=CAW-68621

So for now that's where I am. I've been feeling a bit anxious lately about waiting to sign the contract and make it official. I keep praying that no conventions come along and take my date. I also hope that no other bride does either. I was wondering how that works. If someone else comes along that wants the same time and date and places are we in a lottery or is that only at the 16 month mark? I'm really happy with what I'm penciled in for and don't want to have to move it. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :flower3:

I'm not sure if anyone has answered this for you yet. You're only in the lottery for your time and location prior to the 16 month mark. Once you sign the contract for your time and place, it's yours. No other bride can take it from you. :woohoo:

I love everything you have so far. You and you're DF are the cutest. Hopefully everything will work out with his BC. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
