Why I am anti-marijuana:

1. I worked with my parents in a drug booth at the fair for 5 years.
2. I've been educated about it over and over again!
3. I've seen a person die from a drug overdose
4. I've seen my good friends try it and loose their dreams
5. Because I have done numerous school reports on it
6. Because I am a member of SADD and WCTU
7. Because of the children

Its smarter to jump off a cliff than to inhale marijuana in my opinion!
DEATH TO MARIJUANA!!!

May I ask you how old you are?

I'm 17, I can draw much better than that I take art classes. I just didn't feel like drawing that day.

Why does that matter?

It doen't, but the op has bumped an old thread about pot, commented on PappaDs thread and now this one. I am thinking this may be a very sore topic for him/her.

I appreciate your conviction and I agree that marijuana can be dangerous for many people. Furthermore, I don't use marijuana and won't in the future (though if it is needed medically I'd consider it), but I strongly suggest that if you are forced to make a decision to either jump off a cliff or smoke a joint, you opt for the joint.

:rotfl:

OP - Anything can be the devil if you let it control your life. One thing might be the devil to you but might not be to someone else. I have no problem consuming alcohol, but an alcoholic might not ever be able to drink in moderation. Alcohol might seem like the devil to that person.

I don't smoke pot, nor would I ever let it be used in my home for recreational use. But I don't think it's the devil. I understand how some people might think it is if they have had bad experiences because of it.

People die from overdosing on marijuana? I don't think that's true.

Pass out... over eat... drive too slow- all possibilities.

Die from overdose- nah. impossible, unless it was a pre-existing condition.

I'm off to cliff-jump now...I've decided to make smart choices today.

I don't know what the guy I saw died from, but it makes me hate marijuana even more.

:lmao: Yep. I would like to see the scientific evidence showing someone died from an overdose of pot.

I've noticed the govt has actually started changing their anti-pot commercials. It used to be all "gloom and doom"--you're going to die, you're going to start using heroin, you're going to get raped. I think there were some studies done which found that the doom and gloom approach actually made kids MORE interested in smoking pot (probably because they aren't stupid and saw how ridiculous the ads were). The new ads are much more toned down--now it's "smoking pot is boring."

I wouldn't really refer pot to the devil its not really all that harmful of a drug. I wouldn't smoke it but I know quite a few people who do. Compared to the other drugs people do it's not all that bad.

It's good that you are anti-Marijuana since it's illegal but otherwise I don't agree with much of what you said. But you're certainly entitled to your beliefs.

I think that "help lines" are the devil. I hate calling the help lines for computer/satellite/internet problems. I can't get anyone that speaks English without a very strong accent. I can't count the hours I have spend on help lines. Just thinking about help lines makes me:scared:

If you could overdose on marijuana then just about everybody I went to high school and college with should be dead.
