Marijuana is the devil!

I think that "help lines" are the devil. I hate calling the help lines for computer/satellite/internet problems. I can't get anyone that speaks English without a very strong accent. I can't count the hours I have spend on help lines. Just thinking about help lines makes me:scared:

I believe you are mistaken. Self-checkout machines in supermarkets are the devil.....

Putting on flame suit...

Ok- here goes- I was driving home from work Wednesday night, but had to run a few errands in the next town over. I smoked a little before I started driving. I am usually a very aggressive driver, but after smoking I drive slowly and cautiously. I had a green arrow to make a left across a main intersection. As I started turning, a car came from the other side and took a right without even stopping. I was already in the middle of the intersection and he came inches from hitting me hard. Normally I would have continued my turn, counting on him to stop. This time, I just yeilded right of way and hit the breaks hard, even though it was clearly mine, and doing so saved me. We seriously missed by inches.
It ended up being a double blessing as I watch the drunk bounce between the yellow and white lines on the road and was so happy to be behind rather than in front of him.

Marijuana is not the devil- overindulgence is the devil. And that applies to everything in life.

No flames here, just came to say that I am glad the drunk missed you and you are ok. Sounds very scary. :goodvibes

True Story - I smoked quite a bit of pot in high school 30 years ago. Everyday, just about. Before school, during school and after and on the weekends. I think half the school did. Anyway, I stopped smoking in college, got my degree, went to work, raised a family and didn't die or OD.

What you have been fed is on par with Reefer Madness.

:smokin: Well truthfully if you could die from it I think DH and I would have been dead along time ago.We dont smoke now but we used to smoke like Freight Trains. We were Potheads:eek:

But doesn't it slow down your reaction time? And, of course, it's illegal. I hope you don't have your kids in the car with you when you drive after smoking. I'm not sure how judges would feel about that, but I can't imagine it would be good. :guilty:

Edited to add: Nevermind the kids comment. I thought I saw kids ages in your siggie. :)

No- I would not just on a moral basis. I will never have kids-I don't always make the best choices for myself, let alone a small helpless person.

I'm sorry, you are all WRONG!!!!!!

BIRDS ARE THE DEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!

Well unless you're able to toke up everytime before you get behind the wheel, might I suggest something like the following as well?? :teeth:

No, I do not always- not even close. I will admit that I need to tone down my driving. DBF has been helping me- I have improved. The thing is, with a green arrow I would usually just go. Being a little high and paranoid, I instead surveyed the intersection one too many times, causing the drunk and I to miss each other.

ok -- my 2 cents here. . . . .

anything in life can be the devil's tool depending on how you let it affect your life, no I do not smoke I never have(including cigs do to allergies) . . . .ask me about drinking :teeth:

ok time for my flame suit here: I know several people that have and through my experiences in life I would rather see them smoke pot than drink and act like buttheads. . . .some people can not handle alcohol and are better off smoking.

OP -- you may have had bad experiences, but there is a lot worse out there. . . . .

I'm not sure I agree with this way of thinking, but I see how you're getting there. Of course if you hadn't smoked the pot, you wouldn't have been at the intersection at that moment.;) If pot slows down your reaction time, then I suppose scenerios could be given in which it wouldn't save your life. Just be careful.:)

I'm trying to imagine ODing on pot...can't honestly imagine it. I'm not going to get into a pot discussion group session here with the masses on the DIS. :rolleyes1 I do think it's silly that pot is illegal while alcohol and cigarettes are legal. I don't think that pot is any worse than a combination of the two of them and if it were legal it could be better regulated. The lack of regulation is almost what killed me many years ago.

Drugs are bad.

BUT... dying of a mj overdose? Maybe dying of a Kraft Macaroni and Cheese overdose, induced by marijuana...... I speak from experience. ;)

Well, I can see that my grandmother finally got her chance with the OP. Grilled and drilled her good.

I guess I need to stop clicking on this thread. When I saw your name, for some reason my eyes didn't see the "c" in epcot. My first thought was, "We have a troll." I need a break.
