Ditto what Kim said about taking it one minute at a time. This will all be over very, very soon! And the people at work are going to seriously miss you when you are gone. I'm guessing your boss already knows that too.

Packing - sounds like you have accomplished a HUGE amount! I was still taping up the last boxes upstairs as the movers where putting things in the truck downstairs the last time we moved. You have already gotten a lot done. Do you have a big box/trash bag for "I really don't need to move this" stuff? FWIW: Best to do this when the kids are NOT around. Mom's have different ideas about what is move worthy

All of my fingers and toes are crossed for you this afternoon. That you get a good offer today!!!!

Yeah Anna - I did the kids rooms this week while they were gone...they won't even know the crap is gone! They will be home around 7-8 tonight... Creepy how much I missed them...DS is ready to be home...he didn't enjoy it too much...DD wants to stay another week just to play in the pool.
I haven't heard anything from my agent yet...please keep the PD and prayers coming....any offer has got to be better than what I've had so far.....ZERO!!!

Ok...I gottta run to Sams Club and order a BIG COOKIE for the kids going away party on Sunday...then back here for more fricking packing!!!

Talked to my real estate agent...the guy (mid 40's- early 50's) didn't like all the "openess" of the den and kitchen.
It's called "vaulted ceilings" dude...most houses built in the last 10 years have them.

Sorry the guy didnt give you an offer Marie. Hang in there, you are getting a lot accomplished. I sure hope your DH appreciates you! I'm single but I still got a lot of help when I moved!

I dont remember what you decided on to move, are you getting one of those pod things? If so, are you already putting stuff in it? I really dont know how all this works, I have always hired movers, tho some of them have been real doozies! I have never moved anywhere out of state tho, so it was cheap.

Just think, in one week you will be there! So think of it that way. You wont have to keep the house clean all the time , it will just stay clean. And the realtor can show it any time she wants. I seriously must INSIST that you spend some time lounging by the pool when you get down there. No grass to mow. No flower beds to weed. Get yourself a froo-froo drink and enjoy for a while.

I went ahead and rented a 26 ft. Penske truck and a car carrier to tow the maxima. Gonna run me just under $700. The pods and other places were $1000-1500!! I can pack boxes and load them myself for that much money!!

I'm really trying to stay upbeat and positive, but it's not happening tonight. I haven't even looked at a box, let alone packed it....I've had 2 rum & cokes and they are doing nothing for my mood. I've also applied for 2 jobs in the area cuz I'm gonna have to go to work alot sooner than I'd hoped to. This is really starting to suck guys! I honestly don't know what to do about the house. I've had 1 lousy showing and nothing else is happening...nothing is happening ANYWHERE!!! I can afford to pay mortgage and rent for about 2-3 months...I don't WANT to pay both...but hell, what choice do I have?? I also e-mailed the property management company....hopefully they'll call and we can work some figures and see what happens on that road.

I know DH appreciates me...he sure as hell better!! My stress level is at an all time high tonight...I know it will be better tomorrow, but tonight....look out! I could honestly cry right now. I talked to my boss earlier and she actually started crying because I have 2 work days left....yeah...i needed that tonight!! frick.
I'm done for tonight...not gonna get anything accomplished....the sister and kids won't be here til after 10....frick frick frick.

Thanks....needed that....ended up having a mini breakdown last night...just me, by myself...dog sat next to me and put his head on my leg and just let me vent. Almost better today.
Sister and kids got in about midnight....got to bed around 1, was up at 5 to let the dog out. Went to IHOP for b-fast and have been sick at my stomach ever since.
Sis and BIL helped me out alot this morning....all the docorative stuff is down and packed....still wrapping up some glass stuff....then I'm gonna strip down the office and then cut grass...that's the best stress relief right there!! Then tonight I"m going to dinner with a girlfriend...PF Changs....don't care if the stomach says no or not...I'm eatin' tonight!!

ok....gonna get back to the rat killin'...have a good weekend ya'll....

Marie, you have been working so hard on this move. I'm sorry you had a rough night last night, but it sounds like you needed a break from all the heavy duty packing. And, sometimes those mini-breakdowns are really good for you

I admit I have been a wee bit worried about you marie. I didnt want to say it, because I know you will be ok. I am glad your sis and bil are there helping. I know it does no good to say "dont worry" but when things are beyond your control you just have to let go a little. And a mini breakdown might be just what you needed. No one can hold it together all the time.

Hey guys....just a quickie post....yesterday was non-stop!
Got the kitchen packed up, and the rest of the office....gotta do the laundry room tonight...justleave the detergent stuff I guess.

I had the kid's going away party last night....they had so much fun!! I think I got more emotional than they did. They have some friends that I've gotten to be pretty close w/ the parents of and it really hit me last night....I didn't cry, but the chest got pretty tight. Some of them brought gifts which the kids liked, but for the most part it was just spending time, hanging out, eating pizza and playing video games....they loved it!

Ok...gotta take DD for bloodwork this morning, so I gotta get movin'.

went to lunch with my friend Paul today...I used to work for him....in the same office for 4 years, and have been friends with him for 12 years.....he's really helped me through some bad times.

Ok..first of all, I'm a little tired tonight, so bear with me. My dog is a moron. I had a nice little entry going and he came over and put his head on the keyboard and everything was gone....EVERYTHING!! Also, just so you know how tired I am (and no, there's no rum involved), if you go to the bottom of the page when you're reading...there is a little box that says "related links"...I had to look at it 3 times because I swore it said "******** links". I'm starting to worry about my sanity.

ok..so today was good...too much food, 2 bunches of flowers, some cards and WAY too many hugs!! I didn't get emotional...I think they were disappointed...sorry...just not feelin' it today! I did have my boss laughing....I called in sick this morning! Then I got there about 10 minutes late and called her and told her I was stuck in school traffic....(I pulled that one a bunch during the school year!) Oh...after everyone was done molesting me and had left, she handed me a bag and told me to open it when I got home...it was a Willow Angel (figurine) plaque..."Friendship"...it's really neat. ( I collect them) So I called her and we talked for another 30 minutes. That was the hardest part of the day! Oh, and the owner told me that if I ever moved back to call him and I'd have a job waiting! He also said that if he had 70 employees like me he wouldn't have to worry because things would get done the right way. That was major!!

Ok...so the next few days are gonna be hectic.
Wednesday-Lunch w/ photo boss and that group, pick up Penske truck, DH home in evening, finish packing little stuff, get laundry done...or throw it away...haven't decided yet.
Thursday - Load Penske in Tennessee.
Somewhere in between-drive 4+hours to Alabama!!
Friday-Unload Penske in Alabama.
Saturday & Sunday - Unpack everything I"ve packed this week!
Monday-poolside....(hopefully)
Tuesday - the cable people come and hopefully I'll be able to be back online.

Also, I talked to my real estate agent and we are going to have another open house on Sunday....keep the comin' please. The fun part is gonna be getting the house clean and ready for another open house WHILE loading up and going...I'm not going to worry about that as much. I'll sweep/swiffer and vaccum each room as it's emptied.

ok kiddos....I have to unhook the computer and digital phone stuff tomorrow so it's gonna be a few before I'm back online. (July 24th)
