Marie's New Years Resolution~in July

Marie - you really are doing great. I'm proud of ya! :thumbsup2 And it's a good idea to take days off from exercising. Give your muscles a rest. Congrats on trying new foods and good job getting some down that you may not love. It's about fueling your body, not about loving every bite (that's what I tell myself popcorn:: ).

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, and I'm so glad you're liking the van. Can't wait to see pics!

I am going to read and reread your journal for some motivation this weekend to get my butt in gear!

The new garage gym sounds AWESOME!! You have given me an idea also! I am getting some bonus money this month for staying in my county. I was thinking I would use it to buy myself incentive treats like a massage or whatever for meeting goals.... BUT now I am thinking I will put it into getting a treadmill or some other work out equipment!! We have been wanting one but keep putting it off because they are kind of expensive. I think it would be so nice to have the treadmill and a specified exercise space!

What a hectic day!!! Month end stuff, year end stuff, quarter end stuff...stuff stuff!!! Boss was in a tiff these past few days...not gonna get any better til the accountants and CPA's are done. :(
My goal is to just go in, do my job, and go home...work any frustrations out on the weights! So....
Food today was kinda weird~
B-8 oz milk
S(real b-fast, just later) -Triple Grain Crisps :confused3
L-Chicken Strips w/ rice/salad-:confused3 (it was ok)
S- Bruschetta Veggie Chips-good, different, but good
D-Cheese Ravioli (haven't had it yet, i'll let you know tomorrow.
S-later tonight - 1/2 sliced peaches in lite syrup
Water - 52 oz so far.....gotta hit 60 by bedtime
Exercise - 3 mile power walk w/ dh - 45 min., then 15 min of weights and crunches.

It's gotten kinda funny at work...whenever they are talking about what to order for lunch, they say, "Marie, what'chya got from Jenny today?" A couple of times they've asked for a taste. One of the girls "B" is thinking about joining up. She has to have knee replacement surgery and says she needs to lose weight first. She's 69. Anyway, I don't miss the burgers or greasy stuff at all. I'm still craving some chinese, and would kill for a Kaluha and Cream, but I'm toughing it out. I HAVE to tough it out!!!

I have a pretty long "honey do" list for tomorrow, so I might not check in until Sunday. Have a great weekend!!

So, doesnt Jenny Craig have chinese? It seems like they have everything else.:confused3 Pretty sure they dont have Kahluha and cream tho.....maybe I should invent that....a diet system with booze included. Its just portion control right....so Jenny Craig could have little bottles of pre-mixed Kahlua and cream. Its brilliant. I will be so rich!
 

Another awesome day, Marie. I agree with linda...maybe see what JC offers in the Chinese line. As far as the K&C goes. How about waiting for that as a reward? One month on plan or a certain amount of pounds gone?

You have totally inspired a lot of us on the boards. Your determination is contagious. :worship:

D-(was supposed to be cashew chicken) grilled chicken wrap - we were out of the house tonight and it was late. I did order a diet sprite though!! I don't think I did TOOO much damage. I hope not anyway.
Exercise - 2 mile walk - 40 minutes, clean & rearrange DS room - 2 hrs, clean DD room, remove everything from her room so we can scrape the ceiling (tomorrow?). 4 hrs. I'm takin 90 minutes for today.

Well, my boss called and wanted to know if I wanted her daughters bedroom suite. (chest & dresser), so we went over and looked at it. It's pretty nice, so I said, yeah, we'll take it. Then she's telling me about the new furniture they bought and stuff. Then, when we're leaving, her husband is saying "everything in this room is going to Goodwill. I looked at the entertainment center and said, not that. he said, yeah, that too. I looked at my boss and she said, that too. I said, I want it!!! It's about a $600 entertainment armoire!!! DH is gonna go get it tomorrow!!! I told him we'd put it in the bedroom cuz what we have is crap!! Even though my boss pisses me off pretty regularly, she is pretty cool to offer the stuff to me first!
Oh, we went to Lowes too....I talked DH into getting one of those TV mount things like they have in the hospitals to put the TV up in the garage. He agreed!!! Said he'd put it up tomorrow!!! :banana:

ok...my exciting day is done. I'm gonna go put laundry away and go to bed!

Oh, Amy - you can do your own menu, but for the first couple of weeks, I'm gonna use their menu plan. It's already set up for you...no thinking involved. I like that!! I don't like to think very much!!

And thanks again for the encouragement guys....you're keeping me going!! (I REALLY REALLY want a Kaluha & Cream right now!!!!)

Food still sounds great. I guess the :confused3 means you didnt like the chili? Maybe it felt too heavy after all that work.

Totally awesome to have the tv mounted up in the garage. That will really help. I swear, I always watch something while I'm on the stairmachine. When I get my treadmill (someday) I'm gonna put it downstairs in front of my 51 incher.

Try not to work so hard tomorrow...you are doing so great!

Just a quickie reply ~
The ceilings in our house are "popcorn", or textured. The house was a "spec" house, meaning the builder built it, but didn't have a buyer at the time. We found it after the carpet & cabinets & paint had already been done. (I was 8 months pregnant w/ DD and we were out of time to house hunt.) Anyway, they didn't do any kind of primer before they sprayed the ceilings. there are several spots that the "popcorn" has come down....in big patches. My DD room had two spots that it came down. The shower area in the master bathroom came down....while I was in there!! Also in the spare bathroom, the vent fan wasn't big enough, and the moisture built up and parts of the popcorn came down as well. When it comes down, it's like big patches, not just little crumbs. We tried the spot patching stuff, but after a year it is a different color (in DD room) and looks like CRAP!!

So, we have to scrape the ceilings smooth, then primer them, then respray the texture. fun fun fun...glad it's only DD room, the small bathroom, and a section in the garage.
Anyone wanna come help??

UGH scrapping the ceiling--we had popcorn ceilings in our old house, they were a pain!

You are doing great sticking with the JC plan. Does JC have any "emergency" bars or something you could keep in your purse for those times you are out and about?
 
Marie, you are having an awesome 2007! Your exercise area looks fantastic and your new van looks great too. I am so proud of you for getting started with JC and the exercise and sticking to it. Great job!! :banana: :cheer2: :banana: I'm sure you are going to see positive results.

S-Sour Dough Bites - (kinda like bagel chips, but better)
D-Chicken Pasta Parmesian-it was ok....too much sauce stuff.
S-later will be strawberries & whipped cream :love:
Water - 70 oz - :woohoo: 12 oz diet sunkist-i dont like diet stuff, but this is good..IMO.
Exercise - cleaned house, helped HD put up tv in garage, helped load and unload "new" furniture...the armoire weighs 3 tons!!! I had every intention of doing a workout video tonight, but i'm just drained!! It was a non-stop day/weekend! I have 3 loads of laundry to fold and put away, but i don't think it's gonna happen tonight.

ok, so tomorrow morning I go for my 1st WI. I'm nervous. Part of me is saying, you lost a pound or two, the other part is saying, you should've worked out more!. :confused3 My appt is 7:40 am. I wanted to go before work...#1 because I'm out of food, and #2 hopefully i'll weigh less first thing in the morning!! :rolleyes1

Gotta go get DD in the shower, then relax for the next hour before bed.

I am so excited for you! You worked your butt off this weekend!! You will absolutely, positively show a loss tomorrow - and probably more of a loss than you're thinking. I can't wait to hear about it!

I posted last night on your journal, but the boards weren't working so well...and it never showed up. I was wondering about those popcorn ceilings. Do you have to put the texture back up after scraping it off? Couldn't you just paint? Seems like so much work...only to worry about it falling down again :confused3

Anyway...as always....great job, girl!:yay:
 
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for some positive results tomorrow at WI. I'm with you on early morning WI's. My weight flucuates too much throughout the day. Don't drink water beforehand either.

Now, if for some reason, the scale doesn't behave it is ONLY because you have put on muscle from all the exercise you have been doing and muscle weighs more than fat. Muscle is a good thing. It bumps your metabolism up so even when you aren't doing anything, your body is burning more calories. :)
