Marie's New Years Resolution~in July

Ok....here they are....my 2007 Resolutions.


3) Sign up for a 5K race. (you are supposed to run it, not just sign up!);)

5) Watch my language. (I curse too much...goes with not having any patience!) Remember "Wow, thats fantastic!"

Ok....today was the day. I didn't waste anytime tackling my resolutions!! I called Jenny Craig at 8:30, and was in their office at 9:30!! I am totally pumped about this!
I had my meeting, my weight and measurements taken and got my food for the week. Thank God they changed the food....13 years ago it was pretty nasty! I just got home and had breakfast...pretty yummy in my opinion!
I will log my food and exercise at the end of the day. For now though, I have to be accountable and share with you the horrors of this morning!
I hope you are sitting down...it's not pretty!

Weight - 168.6 = 169 :scared:

Waist - 35
Hips - 43

Ok, so there you have it...me in a nutshell....a rather large nutshell, but me nonetheless.
I am SOOO glad I went this morning. I know if I had put it off until tomorrow, I never would have gone...I know myself well enough. The ladies - Chrissy & Peggy were super nice and not condesending (sp?) at all. Like I said, I'm a lifetime member, but I did sign up for the rewards challenge....it's a percentage off your food for every week that you go. (Week 1-10 is 10% off, 11-18 is 20% off and 18+ is 25% off....every little bit helps!)

Ok...off to organize the garage and get my workout area in order. Have a great day ya'll!!!

eta-ok....it's 3:45 and the garage is finished for today!!! I'm so excited!! I have to pick up another package of floor pad thingy's, and we are going to put a tv & dvd plaer out there so Bob and I can hook up!! I'll take a picture when everything is done...should be tomorrow evening! I'm so EXCITED!!!
 

Congrats on getting to Jenny Craig so promptly! If you don't mind me asking, is it expensive?

You are doing great with taking charge of your eating and setting up a workout room. You are going to have no problems making your goal. Just be sure to put YOU first every once in a while! :goodvibes
 
Food for today...(all JC, except for veggies & milk 7 water)
B-Banana Nut Cereal w/ 1 cup nf milk (:thumbsup2 )
L-Turkey Burger, small salad w/ lf ranch (never had a turkey burger before...it was good actually)
D-Chicken Fettuccine, 5 carrots sticks (:thumbsup2 )
S-(desert) will be Double Chocolate Cake
Water-36 oz
Exercise-garage cleaning....can I have 60 minutes?(moved a refridgerator & chest freezer, a treadmill, and hung shelves & racks)

ok...gotta balance the checkbook now.:scared:

Wow, you've got your Jenny Craig already? I was expecting you to have to wait a couple of weeks before you started! Sounds pretty good. Good Luck with it. I am SO proud of you!!! :cool1: :banana: :yay: :cheer2: You're DOIN it!! You are totally my inspiration!!! I can't wait to see pics of the garage. You know I'm gonna be jealous.

GREAT job with getting started right away with Jenny Craig. And a BIG woo hoo for you for posting your starting stats. I wish I would have done that...it's gonna be a huge incentive for you - and I just know we're all gonna just watch those numbers drop.

Take 60 minutes for today - if not more. You totally deserve it!!:thumbsup2
 
Wow, that food sounds yummy! Is it better than when you had it before? I'm sure they've made lots of improvements.

L-Southwestern Style Chicken Burrito w/ a salad :thumbsup2
D-Meatloaf w/ BBQ sauce (w/ potato wedges & carrot strips) :love:
S-(later tonight) 1/2 cup mixed fruit (canned)
Water - 80 oz :boat:
Exercise - 20 min's on the mil, push-ups (10), a bunch of crunches, (side to sides, reverse, forward...total was 40), free weights - upper arm exercises. Total workout time was 60 minutes. :goodvibes

So today was interesting. The girls all ordered pizza for lunch, while I had my burrito...the pizza smelled good, but I resisted. Heck, I just spent how much for this food??!!
One of my resolutions is faultering already...the patience one...especially at work. I actually left the office 3 times before I mouthed off at someone. It just gets old sometimes. I just keep praying for this job to come through....won't know anything for another month or so...but I'm hopeful!

Linda - I went to the JC Center here in town. When you go in, you come home w/ your food, otherwise I could order it online or by phone. It's across town, but that's ok...it makes me accountable, and I weigh in there too.

Kim-Man, I was hesitant to post those measurements...they aren't pretty!! I told DH, no wonder my bra's are tight...I'm in the wrong size...call Goodyear, tell them I need tractor tire to holster the girls!! (he laughed...he thinks I'm nuts anyway!) Also, once the tv is in place, I'll take the pictures....it's a great little workout area for me!!

Amy - OMG - the food is SOOO much better than it was 14 years ago!!! It's amazing!! So far everything has been good, and filling. I did get hungry before dinner tonight, but that's because my afternoon snack was supposed to be yogurt, but I don't like yogurt, so I'll have to find a substitute.

ok...off to put some laundry away, and jump in the shower!

What a great workout! Didn't it feel wonderful getting that under your belt? At the rate you are going you are going to have no problems meeting your exercise goal! :cheer2:

That is good news that you love the JC food. Sounds like you get quite a variety to choose from. Do you like cottage cheese for a snack instead of yogurt? Or a string cheese?
 
Ok, first of all...WTH is the deal with the system logging you off after what....3 minutes??? It did it to me 3 times yesterday and once so far today....:confused3 :mad:

Exercise-2 mile walk w/ dh - 45 minutes, 15 minutes of upper arm workout.

I had a really bad craving today for Chinese food...General Tsao's Chicken...I'm still craving it, but it's not as bad. I will not faulter....it's just my mind playing games w/ me!!
Also, the girls had apple struedle coffee cake for b-fast. I walked right past it!!! :cool1:

Holy cow! Its only been a few days since I checked on your journal, and look at all you've done already in 2007!! WAY TO GO!!! That Jenny Craig food DOES sound good - a far cry from the food my mom used to complain about years ago! How's that patience thing coming along? When you figure out the secret to being patient.........lemme know! I need all the help I can get! ;)

General chicken? WHO CARES??? That stuff will be around when you're 140 pounds and you can treat yourself to it THEN!!!

Not rude at all!! It will cost me $80-$100 a week - their food. I'm buying the bags of salad fixin's and big bags of oranges at Sams. DH is eating the salads too, so it won't go bad before it gets eaten. The kids also eat fruit, so I can justify that cost as well. OH...I bought a bag of frozen strawberries tonight...it's on the list, and they won't go bad like the fresh one's do!! :idea: :idea:
The portions aren't as big as I've been shoveling in recently, but they are filling. The meatloaf the other night was about the size of a filet mignon.
And the cheesecake was WONDERFUL!!!

Food today was~(I switched it around a little bit...)
B-8 oz glass of milk
S-Blueberry Muffin -
L-Beef Chow Mein
S-Chocolate Caramel Peanutbutter Bar -
D-Turkey w/ Gravy
S-(later tonight) 1 cup strawberries
Water-60 oz
Exercise - takin the night off

Everything was good again today. I was concerned about the chow mein...I don't normally like that kind of stuff...but it was really good! The turkey has mashed potatos and green beans....not a big fan of green beans, but I'm eatin' them anyway.

Ok...so, today at work sucked...as usual!
