OK everyone.... we've all been going through a ton of changes at WDW over the past few years. I think we've been pretty good soldiers accepting the changes, but today was a deal breaker for me. On allears.net they announced that the Margarita kiosk in front of Mexico closed May 31!!!! I cannot begin to describe my devastation upon reading this.

I need to absorb this new information and adjust my travel planning accordingly. If Italy stops selling their Italian Margaritas, I'll sell all my dvc contracts. :guilty:

Surprised they closed that margarita stand considering how popular it is. Maybe it's being relocated?

Hard to believe they fully close that stand when it's usually packed with like 10+ people in line.

We've been discussing the same thing on another DIS thread and many of us are guessing/speculating that it is being relocated to another spot in the Mexico Pavilion and will likely re-open in a new location soon. The new Frozen attraction is close by and the anticipated lines will be stalled right in front of the old stand.

There is another thread about this on the restaurants forum and someone mentioned it's temporary.

In the meantime, my new strategy will be to grab a frozen refreshment at the "Cool Wash" in Future World before heading to Mexico.

Makes sense.

Seems like the perfect spot then to get that ever important last shot at sanity for parents waiting 2 hours to go to Arrendale.

What other good alcohol is near Norway? I'm going to have to get my husband liquored up if he's to stand in the Anna/Elsa meet n greet line with me and the kid. I was counting on that margarita to get us through.

Agree and there is NO WAY Cava can handle the traffic. Move it to the other side, there is usually a F&W kiosk there anyway. This is a bigger loss than Maelstrom but maybe not as big as the rainbow tunnel at Imagination Pavilion.

Just saw this today. I asked one of the lead cast members in La Cava. She said the Frozen ride needs more space. Something about opening the stand the coming Friday in one of the food and wine booth areas. She said there wouldn't be the three flavored one anymore. We will be back later this week.

She said the Frozen ride needs more space.

Just to be clear,it is Royal Summerhaus(Anna&Elsa M&G) that needed the space as shown in this picture from wdwnewstoday.

Disney has known since plans started for Froway that the Stand would have to be moved.

They left it up until the end of Flower & Garden.:)

Glad to hear they are moving it. When I told my hubby, he was in shock (as was I). LOVED grabbing a margarita and watching Mariache Cobre. Sounds like it should be relocated soon.

To me, the margaritas from that stand were gross. I don't particularly like hard alcohol but I like the occasional Margarita and don't really like to be able to "taste" the alcohol. Those made me feel like I was sucking on an alcohol swab. :crazy2:

The La Cava margaritas are far superior and more delicious!!! :goodvibes

Margaritas inside the Mexico pavilion at La Cava del Tequila. They're really good!
