No...you do not need a separate ticket for the concerts...they are included with the admission cost. If you're already in the park, you can stay for the concert.

Is there anything around during the day for Mardis Gras on a Saturday besides the parade and concert? We might go the Saturday before Easter (March 22), and probably won't stay for the night entertainment but would like to know if there will be anything else Mardis Gras related going on during the day.

I don't think so...unless they do something different this year, only the decorations are around during the day...no concert and no parade.

For a little while before the parade, some of the costumed "float performers" walk around, posing for pictures and handing out beads. It's nothing formally organized, they just sort of wander. I usually see them in the late afternoon, but then again, I rarely show up to the park before late afternoon on Mardi Gras days. ;) It's not a lot, but it is something.

Honestly, the parade is worth sticking around for, even if you skip the concert. It's the most authetic thing you will see outside of New Orleans, and a lot of fun.

Yes indeed...the parade is really cool! :cool1:
