Mardi Gras parade pictures - 2/19/11

Tonight was my first of several visits to Mardi Gras for the parade and concert. The B-52s rocked it!

Here are a few pictures from tonight. I think I'll stand in a different place next time so there's more light.

Last year we saw Sheryl Crow and she was great. We like the B52s, too, but already saw them at a Ray's game. This year we're going March 5th to see
Lynyrd Skynyrd. Can't wait!

Really love the Earth and Fire floats this year (not that they aren't all great). And having taken photos with a ton of the parade performers, never let it be said Uni TMs lack any of the "magic" of WDW CMs. They were all friendly, laid-back, and just having a good time with it.

Yeah...the performers were really enjoying themselves. They wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get any good shots though. I'll have to work on that in a few weeks when I go back.

They usually can be found from Mummy to Twister from late afternoon until around 7, and sometimes come back out during the concert as well.

Oh Ok...this past weekend I didn't get there until just after 7pm and walked around a little until I lined up for the parade. I'll have to get over there a little earlier next time.
