Mardi Gras dates/activities?

I just called Universal and the Operator couldn't find ANY info on the concerts, saying to call back at the end of the month.

Funny, 2 weeks ago an operator could at least give most of the dates concerts.

You'd think with people planning springbreak vacations they would have this all lined up. Oh well.

I just called again and the operator at Universal said they were just discussing the missing concert dates. She said the Marketing Dept is just not "with it" because they still do not have them decided.

She said to CB end of the week.

Anybody hear anthing else?

Who, if anybody, will be there on Feb. 27 or 28? I'm really excited about the parade though, this was a last minute trip so I wasn't expecting anything to be going on. Cool!

I just called US again and they said their marketing dept still hasn't announced the booked acts. I can't believe they don't know yet.

Oh no! I messed up on the dates when I was typing! I tried to edit, but for some reason, I'm really slow to the Dis today -- everywhere else I'm fine, but the Dis is just taking forever today!

I hope you like KC and the Sunshine band just as much. Sorry about that!!

No, Celebrate isn't them. The website lists them as singing: "GET DOWN TONIGHT", "THAT'S THE WAY (I LIKE IT)", "SHAKE YOUR BOOTY", BOOGIE SHOES, ROCK YOUR BABY, I'M YOUR BOOGIE MAN, KEEP IT COMIN' LOVE, PLEASE DON'T GO and GIVE IT UP. -- I'm sure your kiddos will LOVE it. So sorry!

Don't worry Jodie! I didn't even know Mardi Gras was going on so I am still excited. I went over to the Universal website and they have a whole section on Mardi Gras. The parade and floats look cool. Who will be there when you go?

KC and the sunshine band-yes, that's the shake your booty song. My sister used to teach that to my kids when they were so little and teach them to shake their booty-no she did not have kids then and now we even have two cats named KC and Sunshine.I wish we were going to be there then or for B-52's !!!I'm not that psycjhed for James Brown and the Black eyed peas-who in the **** are they???

Well, Flock of Seagulls didn't have that great of music, but think about the hair!!! Very, very, cool hair. You have to think big Jodie - maybe Aerosmith or somebody equally as huge.

essmom - I think the Black Eyed Peas are a more modern group. Someone else will know better. But, James Brown is pretty cool!

We were *supposed* to go in March but due to a full house at the Portofino, we had to change to February ~ oh well, I'm not complaining about vacation being a month earlier !!!
