Does anyone know what time the Mardi Gra parade is? Where is the best spot to watch it? How long does it last? How about the concerts? Where do they take place? I know I just asked a lot of questions and any info you could provide would be helpful and appreciated :cool1:

The parade starts at 8:00. Get your spot early because the curbs do fill up fast.

We sat at the curb in front of the Universal store right inside the park and stood up when the parade started. We thought it was a great spot because we could see the floats coming before they made the turn. I think it lasted about 20 minutes. The time flew by when those beautiful floats were passing.

The concert is at the Boneyard, opposite the Monster Cafe, next to Jimmy Neutron. Can't answer more than that about the concert. I didn't stay for George Thorogood. My DH stayed at the hotel and I had my kids with me. I'd have stayed with them, but my DD was in a wheelchair and the crowds were heavy and I didn't want to navigate them with the chair.

Actually, last Saturday the parade did not start until 9; I think the last two nights will be the same, at least if the park is open until 10. Don't know if the delay is because of Spring Break crowds, Daylight Savings (it is only dusky at 8 now), or a bit of both. Concerts should kick off around 9:30 (give or take), and usually last at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half.

Right, the parades were at 8:00 PM but now they are at 9:00 PM. The rides are now open until 10:00 PM, unlike earlier weeks when the rides closed down at 8:00 PM.
