March Trip Thread

Home and unpacked. Still working on the piles of laundry :faint:. Had a great trip, but 4 parks in 4 days is a lot, not sure what I was thinking :confused3. I guess maybe that is will soon be too hot for us to go to the parks (unless its after dark) so I wanted to make sure we had one last time to do all our favorites. Thanks to all of you that have followed along.

Headed back to camp and just relaxed. My sister and her family's is in the 1400 loop, so we spent some time over there. After dinner we all went to the gaint bat house and watched the bats come out. I was really thinking a hundred or more would come flying out at one time, but instead just a few at a time came out, still neat to see. Got to see a beautiful sun set while waiting.

LOVED the pics, especially this one! This needed a love button, not a like button.

Has anyone gone to the campfire this week and can tell me at what time it starts? The schedule says 6:30 for the lighting but that's broad daylight. I want to make sure to see chip anddale.

ETA: I forgot to post this so I will check now:)

Yes, it was 6:30 PM for us this past Monday. I saw an Entertainment sheet at the Comfort Stations that said 5 to 9 PM, so I had my crew there by 5:30-ish? Apparently the hayride was about 5:00 pm, then the Campfires are lit at 6:30 pm. The guitar playing western singer came out at 7 pm, followed by Chip & Dale maybe 15-20 minutes later? It was a great evening. Chip and Dale split up and came to where you were sitting for autographs and photos. Then we had a dance party before it was time for the movie. We did not stay for the movie since it was FLUBBER...and we were planning an early day on Tuesday.

IMG_1754.JPG IMG_1755.JPG What a hectic weekend! Arrived Friday around 3 and were assigned 2003. We asked about 1500 and they told us that a large group was coming in so I think the theory that groups go in 2000 isn't always true. Like most weekends, loop was packed, cars all over, tons of kids.

My son wanted to go mini golfing but the water park option is before 4 so we hustled over there, got there at 4:01, out tickets didn't work and realized that because they were Florida resident tickets, they needed activating. This happens to us ALL the time, why can't we ever remember??? Anyways, after activating, they let us play and it is such a cute course. The winter summer land themeing is disney magic with great attention to detail.

We were at the Fort to go to the parks and Saturday was a marathon day at the MK. It was packed but between rope drop, fastpass, a midday break, and extending closing from 11 to midnight, we didn't wait more then 15 min for anything and rode about 20 attractions. We even saw the festival of fantasy parade from a great spot without waiting! I'm more fireworks than parades but that dragon!!!

Saw Wishes from the front of the castle for the first time in years. We usually watch from either the Fort beach or wherever we are in the park but we were right there and it was beautiful. Getting out, though, ooooh that was horrible. We were trying to go to tomorrow land and let's just say that I never want to do that again. I do love staying till midnight at the magic kingdom.

Today is Typhoon Lagoon, marvelously uncrowded and perfect weather.

Two little things, the hot water in the 2000 loop bathroom is really unreliable even when the bathroom is empty plus I think they've cut down a bit on the daytime cleaning crew. And on this trip, I've found that cast members sometimes ask you a question because they have to and then don't listen at all to your answer. For example, the check in lady asked us if we had a site preference, we said only NOT by a canal. Our site was directly on a canal with other sites available in the loop. Same experience with a couple of food service cast members at the parks.

Overall, great trip, great luck with transportation, weather, and crowds. We will be back in 2 weeks for a longer spring break trip with more time at the campground which is what I most look forward to.

Definitely, the best thing was asking my 4 year old what his favorite thing at MK was, and after thinking it over, he said "all of it". Makes it all worth it.

Thank you for all the great pictures!! We loved the food & garden time when we went. Glad you made it all home safely. Can't wait to see more pictures from other Dis
