Currently have 2 trips planned to CA next year....so all things considered would we be better off going to DL March11-15 or October 28-Nov 2?

We were there in March this year and the weather wasn't very good, however, there were virtually no line ups for any of the rides. Is the weather better in October, early November? Plus, they s/b finished construction in DCA by then..maybe?

Weather is still nice in late October/November. DCA will be done sometime during the summer. If Small World is a "must" then you should know it will be close in late October to put up the holiday overlay. Haunted Mansion will be in Nightmare Before Christmas mode. You will catch Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy until Halloween. And the Halloween parties will be going on, though with those dates you may just have to deal with them on Halloween night depending on the schedule.

Would recommend October - November 2012.

Well, I think we'll go in October-Thanks for the input.

Hydroguy-Thanks for the charts, you have the best information!

As much as I love October trips, the last week is the busiest week at DL during that month. So I would have to choose March over October for that reason.

I had been joking, but honestly its a good idea. We do one big trip in the fall on our points every year and for the past 3 years we started sneaking in a 2-3 day trip in May just before Memorial Day while laying over to aother destination and the parks are nice and empty, though the hours are shorter and not everything is open. The god nws would be that whatever wasn't open in the spring would be in the fall and I like the weather for both. :thumbsup2
