We have a group of 4 (all mid 20’s) that would like to setup a Monorail bar crawl for one night during March 21-29 (hopefully earlier in the week.) We would like to have a drink or two at each resort before moving on to the next. I have been to Disney many times before, but have never set aside time to explore any of the resorts (or bars.) If you are interested let us know what day works best for you and we try to set something up!

Well, I'm in. :drinking1

I'm just editing this to bring the final details to the top of the thread.

We are meeting Monday, March 23, at 6PM at the Tambu Lounge in the Polynesian. Here is the updated map of our "crawl!"

Combining two of my favorite things ... alcohol and the monorail. I won't be down there in March, but might I suggest a small detour on your trip?

There is a boat that runs Bay Lake between the Contemporary, Ft Wilderness, and the Wilderness Lodge. The Monorail loop only has the three resorts. After you hit the Contemporary, you should take the boat over to Ft Wilderness. The boat ride is great, especailly after a few drinks. FW has Crockett's Tavern, which is a very small bar area, but you can grab a drink and wander around the Fort, whch is very cool at night. You can then take the boat over to Wilderness Lodge for thier bar, and explore the area. The boat will return you back to the Contemporary and the monorail loop. The boat ride at night is crazy, with the only lights coming from the resorts, and the WL looks like a giant bear head.

That sounds like a great idea! And I love Fort Wilderness (I'm usually camping when I go to WDW, but not this year) so that sounds like the perfect time to fit it into our week. Thanks!

Love to, but I'll already be gone. :sad2:

Can you come down a week or so earlier?

Have a great and safe time!

What are your dates? We're there the 17-24.

I would LOVE to stay another week! I made the dates before I realized the Flower & Garden festival was there. On the flip side, I am going to the Philly Flower Show before I leave. :goodvibes

Oh I'm sorry you're going to miss us...the Philly Flower Show is fun though - I went, I think it was two years ago, when it was Ireland themed. It was awesome. Have fun!

I hope it will be great. I went to Itlay last summer and want to see their take on it.

If it's a good time, hopefully, I'll go every year.

Have a great time on the bar crawl!

Your more than Welcome to join in DeeDeeDis!! There is not age restriction for drinking at Disney! (Well as long as you are over 21 at least) :cool1:

We still havent set a specific date yet, but feel free to PM either myself or GingerTwist for more details!

This is a map I made of the proposed bar crawl route. Assuming transportation will take about 15 minutes to each resort...we will have a half hour at each place to drink a beer or two...of course times may change once we start drinking... :)

I revised the map - here is the updated one:

I'll try and list bars at each resort later, to see which ones sound the best. Suggestions are welcome!

I think Monday night, March 23 will be the best day, since I think everyone that's responded so far will be there that night...let me know if I'm wrong about that though...

Actually maybe Sunday night would be better...since MK has Magic Hours until 2 AM that night and anyone that wants to head over there would be able to afterwards? I don't know...let me know what everyone thinks...

You got two more if you go later in the week. We are there that Thur, Fri night (vero for the early part of week). Talkin about goin to City Walk since no Adventures Club :confused3 but would do this instead!:thumbsup2
