Well we will sail away tomorrow, but I will start this report now. We will have a Pre-cruise Meet in one hour at Grills, but first what happened already....


We left Seattle yesterday just before midnight Seattle time. The flight to DFW was packed, not a spare seat. The three females sitting behind Caro and the DD's were drinking and getting louder and louder. Caro was about to ask them to tone it down when one decided they were a bit tipsy and needed to go to the restroom. When she got back, at least one of her friends was asleep, so the conversation stopped.

We got to DFW in time to try stand-by for an earlier flight to MCO and we arrived in Orlando 3 hours earlier than Mamgu expected us. We still had to wait for our luggage, but we were able to wait with her.

We got our rental van, loaded up, ate a quick lunch at Cracker Barrel and came out to the Hotel. We checked in, I called a couple of the DISsers we are meeting and looked around. I was able to met Mark and DUncle.

I will post a blog with pictures and when I do, I will leave a link on thtis thread.

All is well. I am sitting in the Cove Cafe on the wireless plan.

The person who annouced us was the irrepressible Pikey, who anniuced us as the DaCosta family from the DIS Boards.

Grills last night was great, lunch today at Parrot Cay was real good. We had the meet as planned at Promandes and most of us showed up. Met Tinkified after dinner, they were delayed in Philly for two hours and did not make the shipp until after the Muster Drill.

Will type later, it is late and we lose an hour of sleep. Palo's tomorrow.

BTW, the girls are already best bud with each other, Alana and Morgan both love Harry Potter, Kaylee and Kathryn can almost finish each others sentences.

DisneyBridein2K3 said the expression on Morgan's face when she realized what was going on was priceless.

weather is great. I am sitting in Promenades, drinking a Mudslide and catching up on the DIS. Ejkjmom, Michaels_mom, Caropooh & I were here with various family members listening to an Elton John tribute.

Kalhua and younger DD just passed by and said hi.

We are still having a blast. Today was St Thomas and tonight was Palo. I have brought the blog up to date.http://web.mac.com/andrewdacosta

One thing I forgot to say on the blog is: While at Palo for dinner, Marco came by to say hello, We talked for a moment and commented we will never forget the fun time we had at Brunch. He told us that it was the most fun he had in 8 years serving on the Magic.

Those are SOOOOOO yummmmy!

I heard that Natalie (cruise staff) was injured at the sailaway party and is in a neck brace and sling. PLEASE tell her that Lisa and Ed (vow renewal) from lprior two weeks said hello and we hope she gets better soon.

If you go back to Palo again, give my best wishes to Jeevan, the Palo manager (who was our first ever asst. server back in 2001), Logi (the wine guy), Louise (at the front desk during the day and on the floor at night), Sylvester, Mladen, and Marco. We had Palo 7 times in 14 days and I'm desperately missing the service and the food!

Don't miss the Pub Night finale at 10:45 in Diversions Friday night! It is a RIOT!!!!!

Enjoy the remaining few days of your trip! Ahhhh -- Castaway Cay . . . . hope your weather is as good as ours was for the last two Fridays!!!

I am sorry Lisa, I did not log back on to check the DIS until after midnight. Weather was great. The Blog was updated to refelct everything (that I can think of). I know that more will come as the MMMMM get back home and post their own memories. I am looking forward to Disneybridein2k3 as she has a video of Mark and Ron as Village People and Johhna doing "I Will Survive".

As I said in the blog, we have enjoyed this trip and the group very much and will try to stay in contact with them. Like most of the people on the DIS, they are family.

Andrew - fellow MMMMM here, from surprisingly warm Maryland. You did a nice trip report and blog. I will add to this when I've had some sleep and when all the wine, bahama mama's, and whatever else is in my system from the past 7+ days of vacation is flushed out. While I should not complain since I know you and most other DISers are still in transit (at 5:20 pm eastern time), but even though I'm home, I'm so completely exhausted, I can barely think straight!!!

We had a GREAT trip - Great, Great, Great!!! We can't say it enough. And it is in large part to meeting so many fun people to hang out with. All the DISers we met were so nice and fun, and it was just really great to run into someone you know pretty much everywhere you went. We really feel like this has been the best cruise of the three we've taken. We were so lucky to have met DIS friends we know we'll have for many, many years.

Ciao for now. Gotta go practice my new "diva" skills. I will survive...Hey Hey...

After going on the cruise, we're all ready for more disney we'll probably go to disneyland in the summer.
You guys were so good at getting dressed up & all. We're totally not into that, we like our shorts & t-shirts.

Yes, it was great meeting everyone we did. I will update the blog tomorrow, if I can think straight. We are home, exhausted, but home. the girls just went to bed, but Caro & I have to find where we hid the meds.

And LisaPisa, I saw Louise and Jeevan before leaving Saturday and they both say Hi, Jeevan will pass the messages to Marco and the others.

HI Andrew! Your trip report was great! We are all missing it already

It was great to meet you and your family. I wish we would've had more time to spend getting to know everyone. We had three other couples on board we knew from our hometown we were with also.

Glad to hear you're finally home and safe. We just got in last night. Spent a day at the space center and then headed home yesterday exhausted but glad to be home.

No it was not noisy. Even with the crazy people from Maryland in the next cabin (sorry Johnna and Mark, I couldn't resist).
It was a great loacation, not too far from the Forward lifts/stairs, and real close to the Midships (which are too busy most of the time).

Where in Washington State? We have to have a Washington Meet sometime.
