March Exercise Thread--Get a jump on that summer shorts season and get moving! :)

I am at 1199/2014. Right on track, but mentally struggling.

We didn't get a lot of snow but enough to make it icy and for the second time this year I fell on the ice yesterday.:( I landed mostly on my side so my arm took most of the impact. The ice was gone by last night so we walked outside, but I seriously considered just skipping my mile and ending the ~14.5 months streak. But I did it. We actually went 3 miles. I guess sometimes you have to do things just because. I don't want to 'quit' something I have been doing for over a year at a 'weak' point but would rather make a conscious decision to stop/take a day off. Does that make sense?

Hope everyone is having a great week. :)

Yes - it makes perfect sense. You want to end your streak on your terms, not because of a stupid patch of ice. I hate ice, as well, it's miserable and dangerous stuff.

today I got up early did yoga, which was great. At lunch I tried working out with a large stability ball. Has anyone tried to use one of those?? It's a good thing the gym was pretty empty because I'm sure that it looked hilarious watching me fall off this stupid ball time and time again.
I also walked to the store instead of drive and got the thigh challenge done.

total - 74 minutes

Getting ready to update through post #167. :)

I would like to join in for the rest of the month if possible. I did this a few times last year and it really helped me. I'm going for 400 minutes for the rest of the month. Today we had our morning dance party 20/400
Welcome!

This. Thank you. Exactly how I felt. :)
As for that stability ball--been there, fell off it many times.:rotfl:

Thank you to Figment for the nice comments as well. :)

Wasn't sure if I was going to do much today, but I decided to write a note to my kiddo in college and that instead of taking it to the mail room downstairs, I'd walk to the post office - about 2 miles round trip. And thighs.

total - 43 minutes

Off today, back at it tomorrow!! I look like I'm falling behind, how did it get to be the 20th already?!? AHH!!

nearly done with first week of body revolution. Interestingly the second time those work outs felt much easier. Looking forward to the second week and then moving on!

Thank you! This thread has helped me lose 5 lbs so far this month!

Congratulations!

streamed a yoga workout on-line that lost its sound 1/2 way through which was annoying because I had to keep looking up to see if I could move to the next pose. ah well. And then went for a short walk.
