March Check-In Thread!

Lots of sickness going around! I got a horrendous head cold out of nowhere this week . I suppose it is good to get it out of the way but I still feel like I'm in a fog and went through two boxes of cold medicine already. I just wanna breathe out of both nostrils! lol.

Our dates finally showed up on the calendar!! And looks like we'll be there at peak season, both parks are open late!

Our family's been battling sickness as well, it's definitely cold season!

Does anyone know if they'll be unveiling a new World of Color show when it opens again in March? I know (or at least I heard) that they'd be doing a new one for the 60th, but it's going down for refurb (I think it's down now?) for like a month and then opening again right before we get there.... Is it gonna be the same show it always was? We are huge WoC fans and would love to see a new one, since we've seen the one they have so many times. Anyone know?

Sorry others are dealing with the sickness too. It is NOT fun. We have never been this sick this often...this winter has been awful!

So I moved our hotel reservations last night. We were going to stay at the anaheim plaza hotel (where we stayed last time) but they don't have free wifi, they make you pay for parking...so after talking about it with hubby we decided to go back to the super 8 we stayed at the last time and just drive to the parks everyday. I know some people say we will be wasting time, but this trip is going to be much slower paced since we have a 3 year old. Plus even with the extra expense of paying for parking everyday we saved over 200 bucks! That means more play money. :)

I've been reading that it will be the old show. They won't unveil the new one until May. Seems like we will be missing out on everything new!

$200 extra would be worth it to me too! Is it the Super 8 on Katella? That's where we're staying. I'm still debating whether or not to get ART passes...

Bummer. Guess it just means we'll have to go again to see the new show! I'm holding out for a Big Hero 6 segment, that'd be so awesome...

Yeah that would be fun to see!

If for nothing else, I really just want one of the new popcorn buckets. Have you seen a pic? They're so cute!

I've honestly lost count how many times I've been to the DLR... 16 maybe? Anywho, I'll be there checking in March 1 and checking out March 5. We'll have 3-day passes for 2/3/4, woo!!! My boyfriend decided to treat me to a trip because he says he loves to see my face light up and he knows how much I adore DL! This will be his first time there. I feel like taking him by the hand as we dance around while I start to sing, "I can show you the world..." :genie:

We took my son to see Big Hero 6 after all on Saturday. CUTE!! He loves baymax. He keeps saying it over and over. hahaha.
We are headed out next week!! I hope the rest of this week goes as fast as today did! I just gotta keep busy I guess!

33 days until I leave. Kind of bummed so much will be in refurb on my first visit. I have 1 meal planned for each day, general park plans for my 5 days there, and just so excited I can't contain myself. I think my dogs are getting tired of me picking them up and waltzing around the living room at random moments.

:jumping1:

I bought my park tickets last night, so it's officially official! I actually got a better deal through Last Minute Travel than I would have if i got them through cheap tickets with Ebates, so yay me!

I also am planning out our Disneyland day, SO happy the park is open til midnight because we are cramming in every last thing possible! Just trying to figure out where to eat.

DCA, luckily, is not as pressing. The main things to do first thing are RSR and TSMM. I also need to make a mental note to go back to Cars Land at dusk to see the neon turn on. I wanted to do that on our last trip but my DD was melting down like a crazy person so that whole day was stressful and we didn't do as much as we wanted.

What are everyone's favorite quick service locations in each park?

Isn't it such a great movie?? I'm really looking forward to getting some quality merch on our trip, there isn't much at our local stores :)

I didn't expect to like Big Hero 6 as much as I did. People were saying they cried and I thought, uh...that's strange. Until I saw it, and I totally cried too! Such a good movie, I'm glad I let my DD talk me into seeing it while it was still playing. Now she says we have to buy it lol.

I'm sure my son will be asking for Baymax every time we see him at Disney! We have started doing the fist bump too...lol lalalala hehe. We really enjoyed it. We have a local theater that has tickets for $2 so we usually wait for those "kids" movies to come there before we take our son. But it was the first movie he actually sat through the whole thing and watched!
I ended up positive for strep throat yesterday. :P Feeling better today. They give you a shot now instead of making you take several days of antibiotics which is kind of nice. I am just praying that no one else gets it before our trip!
10 days to go! (Really 11 but today is pretty much over...right? LOL)
