March Challenge

Everyone has been so busy. I finished my DS's book and sent it to him to do the journaling--after all it's HIS memories! Was that cheating? ! ?

Another 3 done -
not many - faminly ER- and now I can't get away from the TV -
and I should finish my season swap stuff
that puts me at - 47 !

Looks like PattyT and I are tied. I managed to finish DD's Honor Scout uniform on Sat afternoon and then was able to get back to scrapping. Had friends in Sun afternoon for a bit of a crop. Did 15 pages so am at a total of 47 so far this month.

What a cool board! The last two weeks I have gone crazy---I shot 15 rolls of film on our WDW trip earlier this month and I was totally determined to get my album done by the end of Spring Break (which was this week). Well, I did it! And my first 12x12 CM album is done! I completed 70 pages since March 20th....it was fun! Do we count a page as one side of a page or is one page front and back? If it's front and back then 35....if it's each side I did 70. I went to a late night crop last weekend and I got 20 pages done there....it was great. Good luck everyone and have fun scrapping!

Wow! I guess you did go crazy. I've had some pretty productive spurts but nothing like 70 pages in 10 days.

Wow! 70 pages is great. I haven't been productive in getting pages done this month. I did crop about 120 pictures, so hopefully next month I will be able to get my pages done quickly. See you in next months challenge.

I am at 38 pages and hopefully get a few more done tonight. I spend waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on one page. I love looking at the photos and laying them out, picking colours for the pages and journaling. S

I used to spend tons of time matting, picking out colors, etc., but after my latest CM class that I took, I realized that what was most important to me was getting the pictures in an album. I still did some matting, but mostly I just used my circle/oval cutter, and corner rounder, and lots of creative titling, stickers, die-cuts etc. Once I decided how I was going to lay out my photos, bam, the page was about done. I also loved the CM short-cuts- esp. the new rick-rack ones. I used my square maker quite a bit as well--place the squares and shorts cuts in a creative manner, add a sticker or two, and wa-la, a page is done. Don't get me wrong, I still put time into it- I probably had 4 major scrap sessions at about 5 hours each time. I was able to do some of it at work- it was Spring Break and I run a school age daycare. We had way less kids than usual, so I brought my stuff and the kids had fun looking at my pictures and all my crafty stuff. I even let them use some of the scissors, markers, etc. Now I need to buy a new album, so I can get started on the rest of 2003...I didn't do anything with my Jan/Feb photos yet because I only had one album and I wanted it to be my "disney" album. I think I am going to get that new Tanzanite color from CM as my next album...

Another 3 for me -

When I scrap I find that I do a few pages that take a lot of time - using brads, fibers, and other fancy stuff - then I do 4 or 5 pages more quickly - rather simple layouts with stickers etc.
That way I get the looks I love and the pages done!
My problem is that when I go back and look at some of the 'simple' pages - I hate them - tear them apart and start over

I did get a few more done over the weekend - not nearly many as I hoped because the guys stayed home! Something about caves flooding, not safe, yea, yea, yea - I think they just didn't want me scarpping!

Anyway, I'm about 55 or 56. I'd count except that I know I didn't get anywhere close to 70 and no chance of doing more tonight.

Onward to April!

Well my final talley is 4!!!!

BUT, I did 16 complete page kits since friday night! I did 4 different styles-4 kits each!!

They are each made up of topper,photo mats,paper peicing or quotes,journal boxes, and some with embellished squares.

Taking them to the LSS today or tomorrow and hopefully they will sell!

I am off for spring break and am hoping to get together with a scrap friend so perhaps my april totals will be better!
Also have a crop to go to on the 12th.
