March Challenge

Did 5 pages yesterday.
That brings me up to 12 for the month.
I'm getting out of town company for the weekend, so I probably won't have any for a while.

I did 6 more pages last night...finally got my sons 5th birthday party done just in time for his 6th! LOL I am happy with myself...that makes 18 pages so far this month, which is more than I have got done in the last 2 months!

Oh Beanie! You make me laugh - I WISH I was that caught up. I'm in this stage where I've managed to get my DS's Scout and Football books completed up to the moment. DD's Scout book is almost up to date - that is the next project. But mine kids are nearly 16 and 13 respectively.

So the plan is to start his high school book next and her middle school. When those are up to date THEN I start backtracking to the baby pics and working forward until I get it all caught up. If I could just scrap full-time for about oh....6 YEARS I might get there.

Wait - I don't have that much time. His have to be done by June 2006 and her's by June 2008 for grad open houses!

I have 23 pages done! I am so happy! My son's baby book is so close to being done! I think I have about 10 more lay outs and that should be it! Of course then I will fill in with those cute pictures that don't fit the theme....of first!

I am sooo impressed with anyone who scraps with any sense of order!

My DD is 8 and I have pages from when she was 6 to finish still! I get great ideas for some pictures and nothing for others! I get creative block - eventaully I will get everything done!

For today I have finished 3 more pages since my last post - DD's album that puts me at 38 so far! If I don't get another pages done this month I will be happy with my total! But I am an addict -

LOL!! I actually am glad I got into scrapbooking while my kids are young...I am about one year behind on both of them, but I don't feel that is too bad...and honestly, I don't scrap with any order...I did my son's 5th birthday party last week and today I did one of his field trips from last week (he is almost 6 now)...so I jump around as well...

I have completed 8 more pages, so I am now at 26 pages for the month...I am not speed scrappin' but at least I am getting something done this month!!

Great job everyone else!!

Well, I still have not done any pages this month, but DH and I just got back from a cruise yesterday so the past 8 days were shot and of course the 5 before it packing.

I took 7 rolls of pictures on the cruise so I should have plenty to do soon. DS just had his birthday so I will those to do too.

Maybe if I wait until May, I'll have so much to do and some time to work on them I'll be in for the running again, but I doubt it is going to happen soon.

I finally got started! I decided to work on my son's scrap book--His wife passed away last June and he called me Friday on her birthday and sounded so down. I'm going to try to get it finished this week so I can mail it Saturday. It will include an overview of baby to teen years. It won't be huge, just the highlights of each year. Maybe 30 pages by the time I finish.

I did two more pages today, so I am at 28 now!! I am really so proud of myself...I am actually motivated to do scrappin this month!!

Well I didn't get any more scrapping done this weekend - so I'm still at 32 (I think - whatever I posted earlier guess I'd better look!) but it was a productive weekend.

I shot 4 rolls of film so (as if I didn't have plenty) I will have more to scrap when those are developed. The high school musical sold out every night and performed to a standing ovation (we did Grease!) and our middle school choir took straight 1s at festival Saturday! I also finished one of the 2 poodle skirts I need to make for our upcoming youth auction!

Finally did some pages yesterday.
I finished 6 pages so I am up to 18 total for the month.
I am working on a Christmas album for DMIL.
It is easiest to work backwards on this one and start with the most recent Christmas.
I am very happy with it so far.
Starting to experiment with new techniques like chalking and paper ripping. (THey are New to ME)

I am finished with DS memory album. It just hits the highlights....only 28 pages--but many of the pages have 5 photos to a page---not a lot of "fancy" layouts, just titles and a few embellishments. I'm going to let him do the journaling---they're HIS memories!

Donna-- The idea of a Christmas book is a great one!

Deb--yup--4 rolls should give you a "few pages" to do!

Beanie--28 pages is nothing to sneeze at! and 7 rolls of film should give you a "few pages" too!

Welll, I'm still sitting at 32 pages for the month BUT both skirts are finished and the Honor Scout sash is made (still have to put all the insignia on but can do that when DH is whining for me to "watch tv with him" and I wouldn't be scrapping anyway). Now if I can get the pants and shorts out of the way this weekend I can get back to scrapping!

still picking away -
now i am working on DD (8) baby album
I had dsone all her albums through 1st grade - in 8 1/2 X 11 and now I LOVE CM 12 x 12 albums and a lot of pages I just matted out and don't count them - but there are a lot of pages where I 'undo' the photos and start over! It is amazing how your scrapping matures
I have 6 more pages that I started from scratch.
so that puts me at......44

I have finished 6 more pages today and yesterday. (total 24 so far)
I plan to scrap tonight while my husband watches basketball!
I'm getting bored with repeatedly doing Christmas pages.
I might have to take a break and work on DS Disney album!

I have a total of 43 pages done! I am so happy. I had 2 all day crops this month which has helped a lot! I think I need to do about 10 more pages and then my son's baby album will be done! Yippie Not bad since he is only 5!

I just can't get myself to finish my Titles and Journaling!

Maybe...if I ever finish organizing my fonts, I will be more in the mood....Famous last words!

In the mean time...I have organized a bunch of kits. All the paper and pictures are together...ready to crop. I am going to do the Titles and Journaling...FIRST...then get them done.

Maybe April will be my month...though it is a busy one..so I doubt it :
