We are so excited to take our 1st cruise in March on the Dream- hello to everyone who we will be sharing this magical experience with!

I just reserved our cabin on the Dream on March 9, 2012, and I didn't see a cruise meet thread on the board for this date. Anyone joining us???

I can't wait! This is my second cruise, but it's been forever, and it will be the first for my children. So excited about Animator's Palate and the Aquaduck!

So excited to go on our 2nd Dream cruise. We went last year in February and thought we'd wait a month later this year to see if the water warmed up. CC was a little cold to really play in. Otherwise, it was a great time! It will be myself and DH, maybe 1 set of grandparents, DS 10, and set of quads (5). Can't wait to make final payment on Christmas day

WooHoo! Just got done booking activities. I can't believe I got a Palo brunch! We've never been to Palo. Sooo excited! Also booked a dinner. We are going to try the Blue Lagoon Beach Day excursion. With the current temperature at 9 degrees here in Minneapolis, I'm so ready to go.

I am very excited to be going with my husband and 2 girls (6 & 8) on our first Disney Cruise. It's going to be their Chanukah gift, and I can't wait to surprise them with it soon. (Although I think they may have a hard time waiting until March to actually get to go.)

Anyone have any good tips for first time cruisers? I have already read through a lot of the other posts, but still would appreciate more specific to the Dream.

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been AWOL for awhile - I'm a teacher at a boarding school, and when school is in session, boy can you get busy! But now I'm on Christmas break (just a few more exams to grade. . .) and I thought I would check in. Less than three months to go! :

JacksonFam, I think if you are interested in starting us out on an FE exchange, you can just talk about it in this thread and people will chime in if they're interested. I'm happy to keep this list for us, but with my job I don't think I can actually organize the exchange. You will need to get everyone to agree on a price and how they want to distribute gifts, at least I think that's how it works (first time DCLer here, but I read the boards a lot!) Terimac, you are a veteran cruiser - any insight you can add here?

I'm so excited about the cruise! We're hitting Cape Canaveral the day before the cruise, but we don't have time to keep the kids out of school, so no WDW this time

We've only participated in FE once, and basically, we spent whatever amount we were comfortable with, and some would buy gifts per stateroom while others did for each person in each staterooom (especially the kiddos). We were assigned a day to deliver our gifts by the organizer, to keep it spread out a little bit (but that was for a 7 night cruise). For this cruise, we would only be able to deliver Saturday, Sunday and early Monday (before people start to pack up)...possibly Friday night, as long as the luggage has all been delivered and we have all had time to unpack our actual FE and hung it outside our doors. I guess that will depend on how many we have participating. So far it looks like we have about 6 FE staterooms. I am guessing more people will join our group soon now that the Holidays are almost over, and we can all focus more on this Dream vacation.

I appreciate all the time you put in on this, but you can remove me from the master list...we changed our trip to the DisneyMagic 3/10-3/17 cruise...we were able to extend from 4 days to 7 days for not much more $$! So my kids were like do it!!!

When we first booked, I kept buying stickers and scrap booking things whenever I found them. I had to take a break with Christmas coming.

Today I bought a "toy story" pop up laundry basket on sale for $5. and an over the door shoe holder!! I also bought some of those purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets, never tried them before...but we will be 5 nights at WDW before the cruise, so I'll want to do laundry before the packing up!

I am starting to get so excited, I just can't wait. I think because I'm the one doing the reading, researching, shopping etc...I'm more excited than my kids!

I appreciate all the time you put in on this, but you can remove me from the master list...we changed our trip to the DisneyMagic 3/10-3/17 cruise...we were able to extend from 4 days to 7 days for not much more $$! So my kids were like do it!!!

What a great upgrade - nothing is better than a Disney cruise than a longer Disney cruise! Have a great time!

So I was able to get a Palo dinner but not a brunch Hoping to pick one up onboard. I've started to show Navigators from previous cruises to my kids, and they are getting really excited! Now I just have a finalize our plane trip home - luckily airfares from DC to Orlando are very competitive.
