So now that's it's getting closer I'm just curious how many plan to dress up on formal and semi formal night? DBF is planning on buying a suit for formal night and I bought a nice long dress and have a vest for DBF for semi formal night and I'm going to buy a short cocktail dress for me. Anyone else taking advantage and dressing up?

What is considered semi formal. I am struggling with that one.

I'll take advantage of dressing up on formal night. semi-formal not as much, just nice shirt and pants, formal night I think I'll be wearing a dress, of course don't know for sure yet. I do all my shopping for this the week or two before the cruise

Formal Night I wear a full suit and tie. Some people wear tuxedos, but not many. I always think they look out of place! I'm not judging though. They all look very spiffy and I am happy they went all out!

As for semi-formal, I'll wear a sport coat with khakis. Maybe a tie.

The rest of the nights I show up to dinner in a polo or other collared shirt.

Keep in mind you need a jacket for Palo.

More importantly....make sure you have at least some attire for pirate night! As you can see in our picture we were a little tame this trip, but we have gone full pirate! Many people really go all out with some pretty professional looking costumes. Pirate night is great fun.

A little less dressy than formal night. If you choose men can wear a nice polo/pants or long button up shirt/slacks. I prefer to dress up as much as I can because I don't get to dress up too much down here.

We will also have full pirate costumes. Last cruises we just had shirts and bandanas this time I wanted to wear a costume for a little bit more fun.

sorry don;t know how the cruise director is on the Magic, I think I read it was Clayton right now, but not sure. Brent to great as cruise director. Christiaan is still my favorite, but I had Brent for CD last February/March on my b2b cruise and I can see why people love him as CD

Yes I think I saw Clayton too, but only because Brent is on Vacation. I think I read somewhere that he should be back soon. But I could be wrong, I thouhg I read it somewhere.

ok, I thought I read somewhere Clayton was CD as a right now, this was just a couple days ago I read this. If Brent is back that woulds be cool since he is nice and a great CD.

I got a picture with him last time he was CD on my cruise.

yeah Clayton is just filling in for Brent while he is on vacation. Don't know when he will be back either, maybe by our cruise maybe not, who knows. They are all good though

Thanks for the help. BTW we are in RM #2010. I have seen where you need to hang something for the gifts to be placed, but is the actual fish hanger there already.

My friend who went on a Disney Cruise told me about this board, I had no idea this existed.

We are going on the March 6-13 Western on the Magic.

This is our first cruise and we are so excited! I am nervous as my kids are 10 and 6, so they will not be in the same group (right?). Does anyone have kids this same age?
Jacob is 10 and totally into video games, especially Pirates Online.
Kate will be 6 and is very girly and loves princess and art stuff.
