Hey everyone!

We were just on the Dec 5 Magic and rebooked for the March 6, 2011, Mexican Riviera. It was our first cruise and we all loved it. In fact, we all left liking the cruise more the Walt Disney World! Before the cruise we hadn't discussed rebooking on board but within the first couple of days, we knew we would want to rebook!

On our next cruise, it will be me, DH, DD Haley (turning 12 on disembarkation day) and DS Cameron (turning 5 on March 12). That is why we picked this cruise as both kids will celebrate their birthdays on board. I hate it that we have to disembark on DDs birthday, but it was the only way we could get both their Bdays on the cruise. We hope to arrive a few days early so we can visit DL on my birthday which is March 3. What a fun celebration we are having!

We have some new friends that we met on the Magic that booked this cruise too. We're looking forward to sailing with them again!

It will be a long 1 year, 2 months, 1 week, and 4 days but I look forward to getting to know some of you before we cruise!

I have added your thread to the 2011 Wonder Cruise Meet list.. :thumbsup2

Hi friend!

We rebooked this cruise so we can reconnect with our tablemates from the Dec.5, 2009 cruise. My DD (9 now, will be 2 weeks from being 11 on the cruise) really wants to hang with her new BFF on board again. We hope to get in our 1st visit to Disneyland on this trip too.

Trying to get things back to normal around here. Start back with school tomorrow.

We just got off the March 11th 3 night cruise and booked this one while we were on board! My birthday is just after the cruise, but based on when we think dd's march break is we need to book this one.

We are very excited!

We'll be aboard as well, along with my mom, stepdad, brother and sister, my 2 daughters (7yr,2yr), and niece!

Hello and welcome! However, don't think I'll be onboard for this one! Shortly after starting this thread, we changed to the Panama Canal cruise. There is a possibility that DH can't get off for the PC cruise and if he can't, we'll probably be back on this one. Really thought we'd be on this one since it was a birthday trip for 3 of us. However, when we realized that we could probably swing it with DH's work, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to sail through the PC with Disney. I hope you all have a great time.

And Fluvanna, we're really going to miss sailing with you, Jerry and Jessica! WE all had so much fun in Dec. Haley was so looking foward to hanging out with Jessica again. Hopefully, one of these days we can plan another trip together :)

I would switch for the PC in a heartbeat! We had hoped for that one, but DS school calendar did not allow for it. Have a great time! :goodvibes

Hello to everyone in this group. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I live in Mazatlan, Sinaloa Mexico. For anyone on a future Disney cruise to the Mexican Riviera, I am pleased to make myself available to you for any questions about the city of Mazatlan or country of Mexico.

As for myself, I am a resident of both the United States and of Mexico. I speak both English and Spanish fluently and I have sailed on DCL numerous times and have been a lifelong fan of Disney. Let me say right upfront, I am NOT selling anything nor am I affiliated with any business or tour company. I am only here to help and give honest information and opinions in an attempt to make your time in Mazatlan or Mexico a positive experience.

I hope that everyone will welcome me to the discussion and that I can be of assistance to anyone who has a question about my city or country. I will attempt to check the boards once per day, but should I miss a question, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Gracias,
Monica

Thinking about booking this cruise after I saw the kids sail free deal. Really can't pass this up as long as airfare doesn't bankrupt us! Very excited at the possibility of this cruise. We've done several cruises, but all Caribbean/Bahamas. We said our next cruise needs to be something different. I've never been to the west coast of the US. This will be over my DDs Spring Break, so the timing works out perfectly. I'll let you know if we decide to book. :)

Thanks for the heads up on kids sail free! That is how we cruised last time and I am on hold saving $600 (because we lost the re-booking bonuses)!

Thanks!!! Hope you decide to join us!

I'm think about this cruise as it seem to be about $600 cheaper than some of the other March dates. I notice there was a March 12 birthday in this thread. My youngest DD will be turning 2 on that date. If I booked, would I list her as 1 or 2?

I believe you list her as 1 since she will be 1 when the cruise begins, much like you would for a park visit. :goodvibes

We can't pass up a kids sale free promotion! Our first and only Disney cruise was on the Magic April 24 sailing 11 Night Med sailing. This time around it will be me, DH, DS (7), and then my SIL, BIL, and their two darling daughters (5 & 2).

I thought this thread would be a bit busier, perhaps in a few days when everyone settles their plans!

We'll be cruising as a party of four. My husband, myself, and our daughters 17 and 6!

We booked kids sail free!!!

This is our 3rd cruise, 1st on the wonder. We were on the EB TA and LOVED it!!! We want to spend time in DL so we are going to kill two birds with one stone. We are Gina and Alec (CDN prince Charming) and Jake (12 at sailing) and Jenna (9 at sailing). We live in Toronto, Ontario.

Can't wait to pick a name and get the FE's going!!!

My dh sent a letter to DCL regarding the lack of Tween activities, as they do not have OQ on the Wonder. This was a deal breaker for us. We know it goes into drydock and were hoping that they would transform the conference rooms and alas they are!!!! IT will be called the Edge!! See below for the correspondance:

Thank you for choosing a Disney Cruise Line vacation!

I am happy to assist you.

Good news! The Edge will premier onboard the Disney Wonder in December
2010. The age group for Edge is 'Tweens' 11-13 years old.

Unfortunately, at this time, I have no further information about the
Edge, therefore, please check back with us closer to this December for
further updates.

I hope this information has been helpful. If you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to sailing with you!

Have a Magical Day!

I can't wait for the FE's either! I am glad that the kids free has gotten the thread going! :)

We are in Montreal and it will be our third cruise as well, 2nd on the Wonder.

Welcome!

Whoo hoo, more Canadians (well I see you are Americans in Canada, but it counts!!) Actually my dh is American as well.

So you have sailed both so what do you see different between the two? Beside name changes.

I think with the kids sail free this thread will start hopping. I noticed there are only verandahs left and only second seating. When we were on the TA cruise there were only 379 kids so it was quite empty. We were told there are usually 1000-1200 children onboard, I have a feeling we will be outnumbered on this one though.:scared1:

Hi Gina!

While that will be the third cruise, not all have been on Disney. :sad2:

We are taking a Carnival cruise July 3rd from New York to Halifax and St. John, NB. That will be the interesting comparison...

I am glad the cruise is getting full, it should be a great time. Now we just have to find flights that will not break the bank!

We have been up in Canada (Montreal) for about 2 years with the UN and really like it. My DD has lived most of her life up here as well.

Katie

Well, I'm leaving the thread already; but don't take it personally! Our TA was so excited to finally find us a cabin that she told me the wrong dates! So I'll move to the correct thread now.
