March 6, 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

Glad to have you on board!

My youngest daughter will be 6 on the ship---I see you have one about the same age as well. Maybe we'll run into each other!

Third Disney Cruise for our family! We are so excited to be going on Disney and leaving from our home state, no airplane and kids are free, too cool! Our family consists of my DH, Myself, DS 16, DS 7, and DS 5 who will be celebrating his 6th bday during the cruise!

Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to say Hi! My family and I are booked for this sailing. Myself (30), DH (31), DS pirate:(8) and DD princess:(5). It will be our first family cruise. I've sailed once before with my mom a few years ago to the Eastern Caribbean. Have wanted to sail with Disney for years and we couldn't pass up a California port and kids free. We live in Nor Cal, so we will be driving down. :drive: Hope to get to know some of you before the cruise.

Well, we are going to be cancelling our cruise, unfortunately, other things got in the way. :sad2: Have fun!!!

Gina

My friend and I just booked the cruise last week, taking advantage of the kids sail free promotion.

There will be 4 of us traveling, myself (29), my friend and her 2 daughters who will be 8 & 10 at the time of the cruise.

I haven't been on a Disney cruise in over 10 years, and it will be their very first Disney cruise.

Over the past 4 years I have been introducting my friend and her girls to the magic of Disney - we did DL in 2008, WDW in 2009 and it was always my friend's dream to go on a Disney cruise which will now be accomplished in 2011 :cool1:)

As an extra bonus the cruise is 2 weeks before my birthday which will make it extra specialc:wizard:

Look forward to meeting everyone before the cruise.

Sorry we will no longer be on this cruise, moved the reservation to a Eastern Caribbean cruise instead.

Hope everyone has a great time!

We are leaving this cruise as well, for the kids free Western on Disney.

I also posted this on the main part of the the board, but thought you all might be interested in getting a SPH room as well...

I am getting ready to cancel a SPH (5522) in a day or two and book a 7 night western with KFO and a verandah room.

So... if anyone is interested we can try to coordinate a time for me to cancel and you to book and hopefully get the deal on the SPH room.

Happy Cruising! :goodvibes

We had so much fun with the Fish Extender game on our last cruise...anybody ready to start planning Fish Extenders for this cruise?

We finally made the decision to go as well. Had the reservation since June but wasn't totally decided- are now! Will be me (39), DH (37), DD (11), DD
(9), and DS (6). Planning to hit DL a day early too. Haven't been there since I was about 4 yrs old.

Some friends of ours are going with as well. Mom and 2 daughters. We have gone on several cruises but only 1 Disney this last February. On the Wonder no less but was great.

Was really neat seeing the pictures of the Dream float-out yesterday. I am excited to book that one for 2012.

Anyone have ideas yet for shore excursions? Will be the first time for us doing MR. I think we'll do the pirate adventure in PV but not sure of other 2 days.

17 1/2 weeks until we sail. Can you tell we're getting excited.:cheer2: Glad to see more people aboard. My family is also interested in FEs.

We made our final payment today, and as we are silver looking forward to being able to book extra's soon.

Not positive what we will do for shore excursions, we had some amazing opportunities to visit / snorkel beautiful beaches around the world. If we get off the ship, it will definately be a Disney sponsored tour due to reports in other parts of Mexico. Anyone searching for private tours or ideas, since our thread isn't very active, should check out the March 13th sailing thread. One of my friends from our Med cruise, and a travel agent from our town, is cruising. She has put together her top picks for herself and clients.

Hope we get a few more families, I bought our FE gifts (enough for 9) so fingers crossed that we will have that many.

Hope everyone enjoyed a happy thanksgiving with their families. I know we did.

Lara

We are also going on this cruise, and are really excited!!! Me, DH, DS (20) and DD (16). We love, love, love the Wonder, and can't wait to go to Mexico with her. Does anyone know about the Adventure Tours in Puerto Vallarta vs Cabo?

95 days to go!!!!!

Hi everyone. I just booked my DH and I on this cruise today. This cruise will be to celebrate our 20th anniversary (though 2 months early). It will be my 3rd Disney cruise and my husband's first. We have three kids, but they won't be coming this time. :sad2: I'd really like to bring them along, but our school district is so strict about missing school. It would be really hard for my 11th and 8th grade kids to miss a week, but maybe the 6th grader could, if she worked really hard. Should I ask one of her teachers for her thoughts on the matter? How do you guys do it? Do you ask the teachers what the reading/homework will be ahead of time?

Looking forward to going -will need to think about excursions next, I guess. :)

Thanks,
Carol

My wife and I are seriously considering this cruise, as a great travel agent rate just came out, and I think we'd be crazy to pass it up.

We'll see.....

That's exactly why I booked. All I can say is don't wait... a friend of mine got a quad this morning. Another friend of mine tried to get a quad at the end of the day and there were no more. If it's just the two of you, book now (if still open), think later. ;)

Thanks for the heads up -do you know if you have to pay the full cruise price when you book, or just a deposit? Been spending a lot on Christmas -could probably have the full amount by next week, but not right now.

Went ahead and booked! The price was half of what I thought it was going to be at the TA rate, plus got a veranda room. So excited!!
