March 5th-12 Crowd

All right, who else is leaving in 11 short days and some odd hours? We are getting closer.......hard to wait, would like to just finish packing and leave today.

We are 12th to 15th. I am almost all packed already. Just watching the weather forecasts.

we leave in 5 days --- sat and was looking at the forcasts and it looks cold rainy which isn;t good since it is snowing here now and only in the 20's....was hoping for 80's and SUN

ME!!! the 6th thru the 10th then to clearwater to see my Sox!!!

What do you all think the crowds will be like? Small, I hope. Thanks for the heads up on the weather!

We leave on Saturday, March 5th. We are going 7-12th!

Megatann, my ds is 7 also.

In a few more days we will be able to check out the 10-day forcast and see what to expect. Last year we went in March and the weather was great!

We went last year from March 1-8th and couldn't have asked for better weather or crowds. I would go at that time again if DH could get off. Have a great trip everyone!!

We are going March 8th - 16th and are expecting some pretty large crowds. After seeing all of the posts around here, Disney extending park hours, and how booked the resorts are, we are planning for the worst - or the best, depends on how you look at it We were at the world the 5th - 10th last year, the crowds were pretty small and the wheather was great (for someone from the great PNW! ). Either way I am SO EXCITED!!! See ya all there...

We'll be there 3/5-3/12 also!!! Where are you staying? We'll be at the All Star Movies...I'm hoping for weather in the mid 70s or warmer... it still seems pretty iffy. I went on this website that shows historical weather, and the same week in the past couple years seems all different. I know the year I went (2001) it was only in the mid 60's. But people who went last year this week said the weather was perfect! As for the crowds, I thought it wouldn't be too bad but my hotel is almost completely booked... so it may be more crowded that I thought. Oh well, we'll still be in wdw!! 10 more days

We're going March 5-10. I checked accuweather.com for the 15 day forecast and it says "wintry mix" for around the Philly area, where we're flying out from. I think I'll cry if it's bad. A little rain is okay but if it's snowy I'll be really upset. But it's still 10 (long) days away and I'm sure it'll change. Sometimes the forecasters can't predict the weather for the next day let alone the next 10!

Will be there 3/5-3/12 but this trip is primarily to watch Spring Training baseball! We'll probably just spend a couple of days at the World. Based on the combination of the UG and word of mouth from recent visitors I'm expecting it to be fairly crowded but not packed. As for the weather - I'm not checking the forecast until 1-2 days before we leave, but I would expect "typical" March conditions: warm days, cool nights and maybe a day or two of rain. I'm much more concerned with the weather at BWI for departure.

We are staying at my Aunts condo off site. It's about 15 miles from the gates. Getting closer every second!

OK, for the love of your sanity, here's what you do.
stay away from all weather sites. In all of my trips to WDW, we have checked the weather and stressed about rain, etc. This time, I'm going with no knowledge at all. We'll be prepared for wet weather, but if it happens, I'll just be surprised. It's great to see all these timers getting smaller!!!

OK, I forgot to mention the one exception to the "stay away from any weather site". If the forecast is for sunny and 75 everyday - go to the site everyday and laugh out loud!
If you see any rain at all in the forecast, do a karate kid pose in front of your computer and kick it off your desk.

well the things about florida and weather is that when it rains it is usually just for a little while and before you know it the sun is back out. so i don't ever worry about the weather.

the other thing about weather is that you can't control it. unless you are God, and I assume that God is not on the boards - although the way some people talk, they may think that they are.

megatann - if your aunt's condo is getting closer to the gates every second, then by the time you get there maybe you'll be RIGHT AT the gates!!
