Hey D~ They heard me..... I am so

Amy~ Did you want to PM your DD's email? Tell us a little more about her so that I can tell my DD so they can chat a bit.

Any other Lurkers remember we embrace we embrace....:grouphug:

Hope all finds all of you well. Is anyone packing yet? JKing....

Is anyone packing yet? JKing....

So funny you mention this... we were in Claire's buying earrings for DD, and there was a skull and crossbones pair of earrings; it crossed my mind to get them, but I didn't. If it were this time next year, I TOTALLY would have; maybe even a pair for myself as well...

Happy new week.... Hope it's a good one for all of you. :thumbsup2

Tink-
Elena doesn't e-mail. Maybe I can just tell her about your daughter. Elena loves reading, dancing, swimming and drawing. What about your daughter? What is her name?

:cold::cold::cold::cold::cold:OK, I know 99% are futher north then me, so it's colder but I live in the SOUTH! I'm so cold I do not even want to shop! How do you guys handle this weather?? Maybe that's why you guys have more kids then me?;);)

I"M SOOOOOOOOOOOO COLD!!!!!!!!!!:sad2::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold:

Hey Amy~ I PMed you. Check your inbox. There will be a message there. If you hit "reply" you can answer me back. The system will not allow you to send an orginal first time private message, I think you have to have 10 post before the orginal PM function is enabled. So get to posting girl....:surfweb::rotfl::rotfl:

MicDay~
Are you a little Chillie Willie???:confused3 What are you talking about. You know we have invited you guys to visit. We are in a heat wave right now; 22 degrees. I want you to come when it is Negative 14.:scared1: Lady Story has the Tink family in Snow Shoes in July, so can you imagine January? So come on up and over.... The Mall of America still awaits you....

To our Dear Lurkers.... We want you to know that all of us started out strangers as ejkjmom posted. We were all strangers and through talking across the threads really got to be friends. Yes many of us have sailed together before, but the reason we are going back together is because we became friends through here. We have a lot more chairs to add to the circle. After all, aren't past cruisers known for saving chairs, especially by the pool.:lmao: So we have a chair for you. Speak up and tell us about yourself. If you do, I am telling you, you too will be one that comes back and cruises with us again and again and again.... We always have room in the Village.:grouphug:

I tried to reply to your message, but I couldn't figure out if it sent. If you didn't get it, let me know.
Thanks,
Amy

Ok...it still says that I need to post 10 messages first. I guess this is number 5!

Amy...all you need to do is post 4 more posts with just some smiles:) lol!!! We will understand, after all, we all had to get to 10 somehow ourselves;)

We'll visit you when the temp is reading somewhere above freezing!!!

You have to remember I'm a born Florida girl who still lives in the SOUTH!

I'm a chillie willie sillie down right freezing my tush off ( I could use a little tush loss) kinda gal who happens to enjoy the SUN, you know the big thing in the sky that warms the earth. I think we lost it?? If anyone knows where the Sun is please return it to the South, we miss it!

Love the South gal who is turning blue..............

Wow! Its been a long time since I've had a chance to get on here. :surfweb: I bet y'all missed me, didn't ya?:laughing:

Hooray! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: We have more people joining us!!!! :welcome: There is always room for more friends to go cruising with.

We've seen the sun :sunny: in Missouri the past couple of days but I need to feel its warmth...please, oh please, sun warm me up or...Hey, Al Gore, if you're listening, we need to feel some of your global warming......;) I admit I'm a sun worshipper :beach: I stake my claim on the lounger at the Quiet Cove Pool in the early morning and don't leave until I have to get ready to party:

It's less than fourteen months away, folks, and there's so much to do (so I can pay for that cruise.) Johnna, that really s**ks about your car repair bill. You've got places to go and people to cruise with...ain't got no time to be spending money on repairs. (P.S. Be glad you don't farm!!!)

TTYL!

Hey D~ Welcome back to the boards... If we were not "Friends" elsewhere I would think that Russ was one of those guys that made the wife MIA...:lmao:

Save one of those chairs for me, if you have a Bushwacker in hand.

I think Lady Story has already written to VP Gore, asking him to better CLARIFY the meaning of Global Warming...

OMGoodness.... 14 months that sounds sooooo much better... I am getting excited.....

Amy, I got your PM.... I will mail you. :cheer2: On your 10 post, I totally understand.... Since I am the quiet non-opionated one of the group, I too find it hard to get posting... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm back again...less than 24 hours...:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Tink--I'm pretty much addicted to FB...Thanks Dave & Johnna! :goodvibes
Lounging by the pool without a drink in hand....I don't think so!!!!

Well my Dory Doodle wants me to play fetch with her so TTYL!!!!

Hey all - keep it up Amy, you'll get there!! 10 will come and go quicker than you realize. :thumbsup2

DD has been throwing up since 2 am - I was up with her and finally fell back to sleep at 4 (after a second bout); then Mark was with her for two more bouts until he left for work at 6:15. We're having a bad day here outside our Nation's captial. :sad2:

And it's FREEZING here too - although today we may have a heatwave today - it will be a high of 40. :rotfl: There is still piles of snow on the ground from the huge storm before Christmas!!! :scared1: That NEVER happens - we've at or below freezing temps since then so little melting is occuring. It sucks.:cold:

I'd so much rather be doing this: :beach::beach:
than this: :cold::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold::cold:

Ugh - sorry to be Negative Nelly today. Promise to be more upbeat next time I post. :goodvibes

Off to take DS to the bus stop. Think I can squeeze in a trip to Starbucks if I bring DD in the car with a bucket?

Oh you poor guys! I hope Katie feels better soon and no one else gets it. Here's some pixiedust:

We're supposed to be in the 40s today too! Almost (and I stress ALMOST) feels like a heat wave!

Just think, each day--good or bad--brings us one day closer to our BUSHWACKER CRUISE! Here's hoping that all of you have more good days than bad days! :flower3:

pixiedust: Oh no, Johnna.... Hope K feels better soon.... The P&P's are never good... That same bug is going around here. I hope it by-passes the Tink house.

We all have the right to be "Nelly" every now and then; especially if you have not slept. At least I make dead paper guys when I am up with puke.

We are in a heat wave here. It was 33 today...:woohoo:

Talk with you guys soon....

Hey Gang,
Its been just beautiful here in AB all week, temps in the low 50's during the day and the snow is almost gone in places! :cool1:
We enjoyed a surprise visit from my parents last week, well not so surprising but just short notice! They called Friday aft that they were coming for the 8 hour drive the next day! At least they gave me a days notice to stock the fridge and clean a tad! ;)
They only stayed until Tues am, but Dad felt that he had to get back to the farm and look after the place as my uncle is going in for his chemotherapy treatments starting tommorow.
Still it was nice to spend some time with them as we missed having family at Christmastime. Lauren loved having the attention of Gr'ma and Gr'pa.
I am watching all the news reports about the restrictions and hassels of flying these days, I hope, fingers crossed, that things settle down by the time we fly south in 13.5 or so months!
Anyways, just thought i would pop in and wish you all a great weekend!

Hi Wanda!

I'm sure you enjoyed your parents visit. I totally understand your dad's need to get back to the farm. :thumbsup2 Short visits are better than none at all.

I'm getting ready to go visit Kristin in Idaho. I leave this Thursday and will come back home the following Tuesday. I'll get to see one of the games of the girls basketball team that she coaches. :cheer2: We are going skiing on Sunday...my first time...:scared1:. Then we'll celebrate her birthday on Monday with a visit to the spa, shopping, and dinner with her fiancee!!!! :woohoo: I figured I would really need that massage before I get on that long plane ride home on Tuesday.

Just heard about another security breach and evacuation at a US airport. This time it was JFK. Kansas City and Boise are pretty small airports so I don't expect much trouble at either of them but I have to change planes in Las Vegas on the way out and Portland, OR on the way back.

Glad your temps have warmed up. If you're warmer in Canada, we should be warmer in Missouri.

I'm up way too early for a Sunday morning at the cabin in West Virginia! I should still be sleeping - it's only 8:30!!! :rotfl:

Looking forward to the day off tomorrow - don't have plans except to drive back home at some point; today we may see a movie or go bowling. It's nice to have dedicated family time.

Hope you all have wonderful family plans for this weekend! Donna - sounds like you do! Have fun at the basketball game!! I love going to games - esp. kids games - and just cheer and yell about defense, and really get into it! I can't keep my mouth shut (NO COMMENTS PLEASE!) - I think sometimes the other parents think I'm crazy (again... no comments!):rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Also - I'm really looking forward to Dave and Michael's visit next week!!!:woohoo::banana::woohoo::banana: I need to get a sitter for Friday night... and that means someone who won't care what time we get home... I have a feeling it will NOT be an early night...:scared1:

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!! :yay:

Johnna,

So glad DD is feeling better!!! It breaks your heart when they get sick like that. Hope you have a great family day, love family days. That is what we did for New Years, played board games and whatever the family wanted to do.

Wanda,

That's great that your parents came to visit! Glad your temps went up too. I live in NC and to me it's freezing here!

Donna,

My DD plays basketball for her school, she loves it. She plays center because she is the tallest in her class. Last games she rocked, she really is improving every game.

Hope you have a great visit with your DD and her DF.

LadyOfNawlins,

Congrats on your Saints for beating the Cardinals. They really put their heart in this game, good luck on the NFC title.

Tink, BJ and Kim have been pretty quite, you guys ok??

James has now picked up another job. He has THREE jobs now. He was laid off for almost two years, guess he's making up for it? This last job he took to make sure we can go on the cruise and build our savings back up. I :lovestruc my DH, isn't that so sweet.

Talk to you later....

Michelle
