March 5, 2011 - Bushwacker Wild Wild Westerners

We switched to this cruise a few weeks ago-we're two adults with three children (17,14, &12). We'll be arriving late Friday and staying at the Radisson. I can not remember if I have posted yet or not-anyway, just wondering if anyone booked gty. and if so have you gotten your assignments yet? This is our first cruise on gty. status-just hoping our rooms are near each other at this point!

Folks - anyone who has emailed me your info should have an email from me with the updated spreadsheet attached. Let me know if I missed anything, got it wrong, forgot you, etc.

Anyone else who wants to be added, check post #333 (pg. 23 I think?) for the info I need and send it to me in a PM.

The countdown clock continues....

59 days....:dance3:

We'll be staying at the Beach Club at WDW March 2-5 and taking Disney transportation to the port. The only excursion we have booked is the Champagne Sunset Sail at Key West. I am so far behind in planning this cruise! Yikes!!!!!

We are also staying at Beach Club and will be accompanying you on the Disney transportation. We did this once before and got to the port at a decent time. Last cruise we stayed at French Quarter and I think were the last ones on the boat. We even missed the DIS meet.

Thanks for the updated spreadsheet!:thumbsup2

We'll be at the Radisson on Friday night as well.
Key West - no plans - any recommendations.
GC - sting ray city
Coz - Fury Catamaran & beach

The coutdown has begun...2 months from today!:yay:
Finally booked jetblue at a great rate:woohoo:
Car rental done also at a great rate:thumbsup2
Pre-hotel done at a great rate as well:)
All Cruise Online forms filled and printed the final contract:banana:

Only one thing that i am not soo happy about is that I did not get Palos brunch on a sea day and I even signed in right at midnight:sad2:

But its okay...will still have a great time.
Key West-we plan on taking the trolley or is it the conch tour (is it the same thing?:confused3) on our own so we can stroll at our leisure.

Grand Cayman-Plan on taking a taxi to the 7 mile beach

Cozumel-going to Paradise beach

Castaway Cay-just renting the tubes for the girls.

As you can see its going to be more relaxing since this is our first cruise and on one of the sea days, we have a couples massage booked...:woohoo:

Thats the plan so far..for all you experienced folks..does it look good?

I guess next on the list-Packing!
Looking forward to a great vacation, hopefully a relaxing one...
Thanks for sharing your plans and thanks Johanna for the updated list!:flower3:

FARAH = the GREAT RATE queen! :lmao: Good work!

Hope everyone is good today! I have a busy work day, but then a work reception this evening and then... wait for it... JERSEY SHORE premieres tonight!!!

Don't judge. It's train wreck TV at its best. And if you grew up in Jersey like I did, you'd recognize some of these people. It's pretty hysterical! :happytv:

Ciao for now... J

GC--Dolphin Swim and Turtle Farm. We did the Turtle Farm last time and it is one of the coolest places I've ever been.

Cozumel--Xcaret. I'm a little nervous about the distance you have to travel to go here, but everything I've heard about it says it's amazing.[/QUOTE]

Who are you doing the dolphin swim and turtle farm through?

I have been to xcaret twice it is awesome;) You are right It is far and so much to do in one day you will not get to see it all especially with kids

What is the best rate people got for radison on Friday? Last I checked was like 100.00:mad:

I wanted to stay around 70.00 a night but can't find anything! Problem is we will not get the room until 11:00PM so not really caring as long as its clean and inexpensive and closer to the port than airport.

Any one have any ideas?

Hi everyone! Here is my families plans
4th staying at Radison
Key west -Snorkling want to see how my little guy(5) does before we get to Cozumel
GC-Dolphin Extreme and Turtle farm early am. We are very excited but really bumbed our 5yr old will be too young. So he will be on the ship. Then taking a taxi to 7 mile beach pick up 5yr old to join.
Palo dinner at night
Cozumel - Fury snorkling!
CC - Don't know maybe just relax
After cruise going to WDW!

We're paying $139 for the Radisson, but it includes our Parking for the whole week, so that doesn't seem unreasonable.

I guess I'm used to REALLY expensive hotel rates (DC, NYC, NJ) because $139, including parking for the week, seems REALLY cheap to me!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Johnna
the resident "City Slicker" :lmao:

I thought 119 was good too but then my friend stayed there last month for $80. and it was a suite! So I am trying to find the code she used... I will let you know if I find it.:tink:

Okay... new to this so please help. What is DH DS DD.... I am thinking DH is Hubby, DS is for Boys and DD is girls. Want to make sure I have it rightpopcorn:: my son wanted me to use popcorn::

:welcome:

This is our 3rd cruise too! I have two boys similar in ages 12 and 9. We decided to do the Fury Catamaran and Beach trip. It takes two thing we love and puts them into one. Snorkeling on a Catamaran and playing on the beach. The beach part looks really fun for the boys as they have inflatable toys in the ocean for jumping, climbing and sliding into the ocean. This excursion got a 10 rating from folks that had been on in from Passporters.

Happy New Year everyone! Have a safe holiday. Can't believe we will be in 2011 and getting closer to our trip. Boy I hope its warmer than the weather they have been having in the Southeast.

Lisa

My family is the most excited about doing this too! My girls are 13 and 10 my son is 5:dance3:
