I'm booked for Palo brunch and dinner but it'll all depends on DS and how much he ditches me. ;)

Officially 30 days till we go!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: I can't contain myself any longer! I am so excited!!!!!

thanks! I joined the FB page. Has anyone booked Palo brunch? Or are you thinking about doing one of the tasting/mixology classes?

We are booked for Palo brunch on our second sea day. We don't know much about the tasting/mixology classes. Have you done one before?

Feels like it will NEVER get here! This is officially worse than waiting for Christmas! Now if only Disney would assign our stateroom number! I'm obsessed with checking it daily, even though I know that it will probably be 20 more days before it happens. I always said that I would never book a gty but it was a good deal, and since it's just DH and I cruising, we are pretty flexible. As long as I have a verandah, I am good to go. However I still want to know where it is. Lol. Is anyone else waiting on a gty assignment?

We will just have to sit in suspense together! I have been keeping watch on the gty thread. I generally skip over the ones that aren't VGT so I don't know about those. Occasionally I see one that was assigned 30 days out but it seems like most of them are about 10 days out. I am hopeful.

Can you explain to me this whole GTY thing? I've read the acronym and haven't a clue what it means and how it works. :goodvibes

So we have booked the airport shuttle service. I was looking online and see it's so so close to the airport to the terminal. Has anyone ever done taxi vs the DCL shuttle? I was wondering if it is cheaper. Ground transportation for the 4 of us is $80 which seems crazy for a 15 minute drive. Plus I kinda want to stop and get wine. Anyone know? Thanks!!:beach:

Hi everyone, we're booked on our first ever Disney Cruise. We've cruised with Celeb, RCI & Princess but never with Disney. It's like a whole new world! I just spent the last 15 minutes trying to figure out what a FE is! ha! Got it now, though it sounds like it's too late to join in on that fun for this cruise.

My husband Chris, daughter Sarah Ruth (4) and I (Jenny) are flying in from Chicago & will be staying in cabin 7540. Please say "Hi" if you see us - we don't know anyone else on this cruise & are always happy to meet new people from new places!

Also, can anyone make some recommendations for activities on the ship or on Castaway? We were too late to book a cabana on Castaway & have a submarine tour thingie in Mexico. So far we don't have any other reservations/plans & we'd love to hear your recommendations!

Thanks!
Jenny

Did you find anything about the taxi? I'm flying into FLL so am taking a shuttle from there. The nice thing with Disney transfers they'll take care of the luggage.

Welcome! I've heard several times that after you try DCL you don't want to go back. I hope you love it!

Welcome! I would gladly share our cabana with you but it is on Serenity Bay. Keep checking and maybe one on the family beach will open up last minute. : ) I have a four year old daughter as well, but she will be at home for this cruise. You guys are going to have a great time!
