Hi everyone. We are a family of three with a five year old (William) his mom (Susan) and Dad (me) (Hart). All are veterans of Disney but new to crusing. We will stay at Disney for a couple days and head to the boat Saturday morning.
I am amazed that you all have been discussing this so long. We booked a while ago but just started focusing on the trip. I feel so behind. I have read your posts with delite and hope someone can answer some questions. I know there is another place for questions but it is nice to hear from people we will be traveling with.
First, are there others in this group with five year olds boys. Ours is excited to travel but sad that his friends are not with us.
Next as a new person to these boards, what does DD etc stand for?
More importantly, do most of you use the kids club? How many hours in a day?
Is a suit worn on formal night acceptable?
Any other thoughts are appreciated.
I am sure there is so much more I should learn and prepare for but we are excited to share this cruise. Just over 30 days to our fun!
Hart
First of all, let me be the first to welcome you and your family!!!!!
This is only our 2nd cruise, the first being a 3 day, so I am far from a seasoned cruiser, but will attempt to answer some of your questions....
We only have DD's (disney daughter) ages 10 & 13... no boys... sorry
As far as a suit goes, from what I have read, is perfectly fine!!!! On the 3 day cruise we only had semi-formal night... So DH (disney husband

) wore dockers w/ tie....
Kids club...again, didin't do them much, just cuz there wasn't much time for us to take advantage of it...but my DD's are really looking forward to it this time. From everything I have read, the kids love the clubs, as do the parents...
You probably read, that we are all planning to meet prior to setting sail...this is still in the works, so stay tune

There is also a Palo brunch planned as well, I think that there is still room for 3 adults, so maybe you and your DW (disney wife

) would be interested in that.. I think Michael's Mom is taking care of that ressie.. Palo Restraunt, is quite popular. you do need resservations to eat there.
I'm sure you have alot more questions..just keep reading these boards, I have learned quite abit from them. And as you have already seen, we have a great group sailing with us!!!!!!
