LOOOONG time Lurker, but I finally got around to registering and posting.
The military, in it's infinite wisdom, finally decided to relocate us to Florida, where we've been since last June. I've been dragging my feet about DW since we got here. I can only image that it was because my dad saw fit to drag us to the magic every mid August, since it would be so hot that no one would ever think of going there. Gee... I wonder why not dad? He was right, OC this was back in the day, when it just plain wasn't as crowded.
I have fond childhood memories, as well as nightmare of DW, and honestly cannot wait to return. DW made that easier by offering the whole military ticket and room thing for 2009. SO......
The packet is on the fridge, the individualized maps have been made and laminated, I checked to see which parks had extended hours on what days, the ADRs are set, the photocd is preordered, printed the list of "cool things not to miss" from here, I have our mouse ears ready to go, and we'll be at a villa in OKWest, and I'm ready to go.
I'm NOT going to overplan, I"M NOT NOT NOT. LOL! OK, miss OCD might have already done that, but my goal for us is to have FUN and not try to see every bit of everything in 5 days.
I've promised myself NOT to go wacky looking for mickeys. But I'm not leaving the park without a pearl. That's the LAST thing I did at Epcot on it's opening day, and this trip, I want another! (Yes, I haven't been since 82 and DH hasn't been since 78!!!!) I'm also going to see if I can get DH to do the flag ceremony, purple heart active duty and all that.
SO...anyone else going to be torturing the CMs while I'm there? We'll be downtown disney on sunday evening, studios on monday - hoping to get DS age 9 to light saber, epcot on tuesday - darn I'll miss figment, AK on Wednesday, MK - on Friday. PHEW..... most exhausting vacation, and I haven't BEEN yet ! LOL !
