March 27, 2012 *SPRING FLING DOUBLE DIPPIN DREAM*

I'll be cruising with DH and DS16 (gosh, I can't believe he will be 16 by then). This will be our second cruise. The first was a 4 night double dip on the Wonder in 2008. I'm really excited!

We used a project DS made in home ec as our fish extender last time. They called them locker pockets and it worked really well. I'll have to see if it's still around the house somewhere.

I have created a few graphics we can use for magnets or whatever. These are not my originals, but blanks I found from other DISigners. I just added our dates.

Basic rules for the FE...

Each cabin participating will provide at least one gift per cabin, per person, or per child - it is up to you.
Of course, you are welcome to give more than one gift, but the miminum is one.


All gifts will be delivered between the cruise leaving port on March 27th and before 6:00 pm on March 31st,
so we have time to pack our bags before arriving in port the next morning.

You can include your name or disboard name on your gift, but it is not required.

The cut off date for FE sign up will be one month prior to departure, so February 27th.
This will give us time to get everything together. ​

[Should our FE list be separate from roll call? Or one in the same? All DISer's may not participate in the FE exchange, but may want to do a DIS meet. What do you think? Some of the other Meet threads I have read do them separately. I am not sure what the best way would be. Any repeat cruisers with experience in this?

Hi all!

We are also scheduled to go on this cruise. This will be our fourth trip with Disney we have taken the Magic previously but our first time on the DREAM. It will be me and the boys at a minimum but either my mom or my husband will be the 4th. My DH would prefer my mom.

I just wanted to let you know you did a great job on those graphics! And you are doing a great job as an organizer. As a unsolicited suggestion, many folks to an Excel spreadsheet that send out by private e-mail with different tabs for general information, FE exchange, and when we get closer excursions.

I've been so busy it's been a long time since I've been on this thread. Welcome Aboard to everyone - & there is alot of you, who have come aboard since I last posted.

To Merilee,( modegard) wow you have so many great ideas, & Thank you for moving ahead with Roll Call & the FE list ( I pm'd our info).

We just got done graduating our twins from HS & grad party is today.

dh Allen & I leave in 5 weeks for our 20th anniversary trip which will include a Disney Alaskan cruise. So after the party today, I will pull out our luggage to get packing started. I'm pooped I need a vacation!!!!

Sharon - Have a fabulous time on your Alaskan Cruise! I looked at going on that one when they had the kids cruise free promotion, but we could not make it work. Happy Anniversary and congratulations to the graduates!

Hi everyone!!!

We just moved our September 4 cruise to this one. My BIL announced last week that he is getting married (for the first time and he's 55) in Nice, France!

But the wedding is 10 days after we would have gotten off the boat, and pulling our daughter out of school for most of September, along with being gone from work, well it was just easier to move it. Gave up a killer cabin though. And the prices have definitely gone up - we booked it on the first available day about 2 years ago. But we get an extra day, and now I don't have to worry about what we are doing for spring break!!!

It will be me, DH, and DD 8. Also traveling with us are 2 good friends from Chicago, along with their DD 8 and DS 6.

But now I have LONGER TO WAIT!!

(The cruise is filling up too - having major trouble booking cabins with more than 1 kid in them)
