My family (DH, DD9 and DD6) and I will be taking our first Disney cruise March 26th. How do we get involved in the FE's? Is it too late? I'd appreciate any information!

I'm cracking up right now because I just sent out the final FE list and I put "we are cruising THIS month" too!!!! Never thought we'd get to this point!!!

Hey karabejoo, did you send the spreadsheet today? I haven't received it yet.

I emailed her (karajeboo), because I just now realized (sorry) that our room number isn't on the FE list...so in case she doesn't get it before she sends out the last FE list- our room number is 6036. Thanks!!! Got some more goodies for everyone today...can't wait!!

Just an FYI (might have been mentioned on the main board- dunno)- I got a letter some time this week stating that if you booked through dreamsunlimited that a computer mix-up might have deleted people's spa reservations. (I don't have any.) So might wanna check dreamsunlimited/DCL website to check yours if you have/had one. I'm gonna check anyways to make sure everything's alright. (Personally- if I book through DU again- I'm gonna ask for a different TA. It seems that once we paid in full, I never heard back from her again. I asked two separate questions that she never answered. Also, she freaked me out way back when I was first booking, basically telling me DCL wouldn't let me book without a passport- found out that info was erroneous. Then when I was asking a question of glass vs white wall veranda, she again didn't answer me correctly....Anyhow-food for thought.)

Regardless, I am SO EXCITED about this trip! I just look forward to kicking back on a chair, reading a book, sippin' a drink of the day. I also love that this is all new to all of us. Been a very long time that we've been on a trip that isn't brand new to all of us.

Bought a laminator today- gonna get that crackin' and make some magnets.

Also, someone asked earlier- about a packing list- put that in the 'search' on the main cruise forum and several good lists will come up. One thing I added to my list is binoculars, also air fresheners, LOL!

I got that snail mail about spa reservation issues a few weeks ago. I interpreted to mean that DCL was having system issues in general, not that it was specific to using a TA. The mail was a little odd because the name on the address was a DU travel agent but with my home address. But I figured maybe DU set up things that way so that we'd get DCL communications like that directly.

I didn't have any spa reservations either, but I did double-check my Palo and excursion bookings, and everything was okay, plus those were documented in the cruise documents booklet.

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally got our cruise docs - guess that means we are really going!!!!!!! Good thing since I have all of the FE gifts.

Yes and no, We set the cutoff at Feb 28th so I could send out the completed FE list but we'd love to add you to the FE exchange knowing that some may have already completed their gifts? Does this make sense? I know some folks ordered their goodies, so they might be out, but if you want to pm me all your info (last name of family, first names of everyone, ages of children, cabin#, and email address), I'll certainly add you to the list.

Also, I have a 9 year old DD too and she plans on spending some time in the kids club, how about yours????? Actually, my Ally will celebrate her 10th bday on March 31 so that will be a VERY special birthday indeed!

Karajeboo- That's so cool having her birthday while on the boat! We decided to celebrate our daughter's on the boat as a family even though hers is in just a few days. I am trying to come up with ways to help make it special for her so we're letting her pick out some extra souvenirs, etc. Was thinking of maybe ordering a birthday basket for her too...not sure. Got any good ideas I can borrow from you?

Also, anybody on our FE list out there- any other kids celebrating birthdays while on the boat? I have an idea...

Karajeboo- That's so cool having her birthday while on the boat! We decided to celebrate our daughter's on the boat as a family even though hers is in just a few days. I ordered the birthday cake for her as a surprise and asked that it be served to her in the dining room that night. I'm thinking we will be dining in AP that night (I requested the PLA rotation......). Also, Jeff's birthday is the day we get back (not a very happy birthday, huh?) so I think Ally and I are going to surprise him with something on our last night on the ship. Not sure yet what To do, I may need to hit up the CMs for help on that one.......

We also have an April 6th birthday...my son turns 14! Yikes, how did that happen so fast? He will be celebrating all week on the cruise with nonstop pizza and ice cream. I think he has an ice cream cup in his hand in every picture I have of him from our cruise two years ago .

One of the things I miss the most about not getting to WDW every couple of months is the fun TRs I used to write!!!! So hopefully this will satisfy that craving for me!

Hi, I am new to disboards and I am trying to post a reply to disney kat and it won't let me. I realize it is too late to get on the FE exchange but was wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and would like to still do one on a smaller scale? This is our first Disney cruise and I am a little overwhelmed with it all! Thanks for reading!

Actually, from this post from Kara, she said that you could participate but some of the folks that pre-ordered stuff might not have enough. I think the FE participants consensus is "The more the merrier". We would love to have you participate. You will need to PM karajeboo the info listed above. We just need to know soon if you would like to join so that those of us that are making stuff have enough time. Hope to see you in 22 days.

My pediatrician highly recommends that I vaccinate for Hep A before the cruise. Has anyone else received this advice? I really do not want to vaccinate them. I have to do it this week for them to have some immunity to it. Any thoughts?

I have not heard of this - though I have not mentioned to our doctor that we are cruising. My son does have his check-up next week and I was planning on asking about medicine for sea-sickness (hopefully we will not need this).

Our (Vancouver, Canada) newest must have "fad" are those Japanese puzzle erasers like Gomu or CrazeErasers. Are those in or out in the states? I was going to get some for the FE but they might be "so last year" for you guys! I have other ideas if these are OUT.
