March 25 2007 Wonder anyone else going?

Dotterson,

:cool1: Congratulations...makes the cruise all that much more rewarding...hectic, but rewarding.

From what I have read, duct tape is used for repairing broken items, taping up hems, keeping doors closed when the seas are rought, keeping curtains closed, etc. Its your basic tool for quick fixes. I've read that there is a travel size. I need to check a round to see if I can find it.

morning everyone. have you all been checking out the twopalms webcam? I managed to see the Wonder yesterday. How I wish I was there.

off to bed for a while(I work nights) so I will check in later.

Is the pirate boat from PoftheC II still in the Castaway Harbor???

Ok, we signed the letter of intent for the house... yikes. I don't know what thing to pack for first!!!:rotfl:

As far as I know, it's still there. I sure hope so because that's a huge thing my son is looking forward to seeing!! :)

Good Morning Everyone!

We had the opportunity to meet Mermaidlady's family this past weekend. They're great. The boys (my DS - Kyle and Mermaidlady's DS - Quinn) seem to hit off quite well. Actually, the two got along so well they kindda blanked out what else was going around them. Thanks again Kate!

Bbethparsons,

What's the latest on your endeavor to get the other child to join you on this trip?

We can't wait to see everyone on Deck 10. Have a great day today!!!

Hi kkoelr,

My DS is also named Kyle. He is 9. I hope he gets along great with your DS and Mermaidlady's DS. :goodvibes

Morning all. It was great meeting Kelly and his kids. We all enjoyed it.

Linda I'm sure Quinn and Kyle will have fun with your Kyle

Dotterson when will you close? I say pack for the cruise first. Have you found a home in GA yet?

Everyone have a great day

Good afternoon to you all!

Yes, my dear, Hannah "Banana" is going with us. She is 10 years old, just a tiny bitsy thing. She wears like a 6/7 in clothing. Hannah has told everyone at our school about the trip. She has never been anywhere, never been on a vacation. She is the cutest thing you have even seen.

Bad news, my 15 1/2 year old son, really doesn't want to go, so we had a little "family meeting" last night and decided he doesn't have to go. His grandpa, my Dad, is his best friend in the whole world. He would rather stay and go fishing and be in our hunting lease, which is 3500 acres. Plus, he has a girlfriend, which he probably won't get to even see why we are gone....

SO......now we are trying to decide whether we should let our daugher, Emily, invite a friend. She is just shy of 13 and I think she would have a better time if a friend went with her. TOO MUCH TO DECIDE!!:beach:

Just got home from work, gotta get movin'!

Hi All,

Well, we're supposed to close on this house 4/20 or around there. We're driving to GA this weekend to check out houses and hopefully, buy one!

So much to do! The inspection, getting movers, etc. And, my DD is in a community play until 3/18. Too many performances and we need to drive her back and forth! Going crazy! We're exhausted and the house selling in TWO days was a huge :goodvibes surprise!!!!

So, back to the cruise. Yeah, we need it bad! We're all so spent from everything that's going on! (After the buyers come for a measuring rooms-last look, I'm taking out the clothes. We need the :beach: !!!!!!)

Tonight I called Disney to add my dear friend, Hannah. Disney told me they could not add her. I have already told her she was going. I explained to them I was removing my son, who doesn't want to go and wanted to add her. Because of her age, 10, they told me they couldn't. I talked with a supervisor, Jeanette, and she is trying to work something out for me. The reason is that age group has reached it capacity. I am probably the saddest I have been in a long time. Pray that she calls me back this morning. She said, "Well, it's 19 days till sailing, surely someone will cancel!". I want to know know.

I even explained that my daughter Emily is 12 and she turns 13 in 3 weeks and she would be moving up to the teen club, which would open up a spot. Pray, Pray, Pray. If I have to tell this precious child she cannot go, she and I both will be devastated. :)

Beth....we all believe in the Disney magic and this is one time we're praying for you that Disney delivers some true magic and Hannah will be able to go!!:grouphug: Please keep us posted.

~Kris

Oh Beth what a dilemma. I hope they can add her. That would be devastating for her. Keep us informed.:grouphug:

I'm sorry Cory isn't going so Colin would have someone to hang out with . Colin was his grandpa's favorite as well.

It simply will not warm up here. Yesterday was cold and today will not be much better. Florida had better be warm:beach:

What is everyone doing after the cruise? We are going to visit my Aunt in Homassassa Springs for a couple of days.

See everyone soon

It's all worked out! Disney called me about 1 today and confirmed that Hannah can go. Thank you all so much for your prayers and pixie dust.

So now we have going: DH (51) myself (41) DD (12 almost 13), Daughter's friend, Kaitlyn (13) and precious Hannah (10)

I LOVE DISNEY!

Hi everybody...even when I'm not able to write, it's great to check in & see the news!

Dotterson: wonderful news about the house...hope you see something you like in GA. Beth - my heart was in my throat (about Hannah) until I read the conclusion...phew!

Hey experienced cruisers: do many people (any?) get seasick on these huge ships? Some acquaintances have told me to get dramamine (or even a prescription drug); others have said don't bother.

Have a great weekend all!

So glad about Hannah. I can't remember a time when Disney hasn't come thru!

Yeah, going to look for houses this weekend! :yay: I hope that's done so I can concentrate on packing for the cruise! DD is still in the community play until 3/18 and she will need a break!!!!

Are you guys going to bring pirate costumes? Kate - esp. your kids?

I wear a homeopathic bracelet for seasickness. Has worked every time! We had one cruise where everyone -- including DD -- got sick (it was in Oct. and rough seas). The bracelets go over your pulse point on your wrists. It is a big boat (ship) as Jack Sparrow would say, so...

Talk to ya soon!

D

Hannah is so exicted. I went to Goodwill store on Wednesday and I found a Minnie baseball hat (you know the red and black one with big ears) and gave to her yesterday. She wore it all day at school. Anyone want to e-mail Hannah this weekend. She will be with me. We gotta go cruise clothes shopping. TGIF to you all. God bless you. bbethparsons@aol.com

Morning all. The sun is shining and we all can't wait for the cruise.

Teagan will be the only one dressing up for Pirate night. The boys aren't interested at all.

Dotterson what play is your DD in? Teagan is in the drama club but generally doesn't do the plays because sports interferes. She loves to go to plays though.

Have a great day everyone.
