Flo - we have been enjoying the pool. Only the pool is really hot. Yesterday the water temp was 94 degrees! That is just too warm when it is 99 degrees outside. Bobby has been trying to cool it down. We have even frozen buckets of ice and thrown in the pool to try a cool it down. But to no avail. But it was on 72 degrees here on the drive in to work and it was raining. So hopefully that will cool us off a bit here today. We are still under an excessive heat warning until 9:00 tonight. But maybe with the rain they can cancel that warning.

I hope they do because our poor Brooke has been detassling in it since Sunday. :scared1: Luckily she has been home by 1:00 or so so she isn't out in the hottest part of the day. But man does she come home sweaty!

Chris,

Hope it does cool off for you. Yes 94 degrees is a little hot for the water. One of the guys at works said the same thing about his pool. That is a god idea about the buckets of frozen ice. Hope that helps to. Brooke just loves her water.

One more day to Gary day.:yay::woohoo:

Hi all,

I'm new to the boards, to the Disney line (but not to cruising!) and will be on the March 22nd sailing with you all! :dance3: My husband, son and I choose the Dream after seeing it in Port Canaveral earlier this year, and will be celebrating our son's 5th birthday... we thought it would be nice for him to go on a Disney ship while he's still young enough to be captivated by the magic of it all. :)

Anyway I will most likely be a lurker but thought I'd say hello anyway!

-Jan from Winnipeg

Welcome Jan from Winnipeg. Glad to have you with us...please join in, the more the merrier. If you go back to the first post you can get an idea about some of the things we are planning. Its nice to have a few friends on board, and it adds to the experience. Some of us have cruised together before, and there are some I have not yet met, except here on this board. I think this group, is very easy to talk to, a very nice group of people.

so welcome!!!:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone - happy Monday!

Welcome aboard Jan! As Dianne said we hope you join in. Lurking is fine, but participating is even better. Many of us have sailed DCL before and we have some who have sailed on the Dream already and others sailing on her in a couple of months.

The first post has lots of information and if you have any questions just ask away!

Have a great day and a great week everyone!

Good cooler Monday morning to all! Thank god the sun isn't out today, predictions are for a cooler week and the humidity is down. This weekend was absolutely brutal!

Welcome Jan. I be one of the "newbies" too. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome! :thumbsup2 I'm slowly making my way through the thread, and the board for that matter! There's so many nice little Disney-isms I'm finding out about (like the fish extenders... who knew!) and so far I'm very impressed and looking forward to seeing it all first hand!

We usually cruise with a few friends but I'm unsure if they will be joining us on this trip or not. It certainly adds to the experience to have other people to share with so it will be nice to hopefully meet some of you in person. I'll do my best not to just "lurk"! :)

Good Morning fellow Dis'ers

I was supposed to be on the Dream for my second time in October but due to family issues, we have now re-booked to this cruise.

I turn 50 on the 24th of March and couldn't think of a better thing to do on my birthday then be on the Dream.

Looking forward to reading through this thread and see what the planned activities are.

For sure, I am in for FE. This is my adult daughter's first cruise and I want to see her face each day when she looks inside.

Morning all. I so need to get motivated to start the men's gifts for the FE. Went gangbusters and got the women's done, but......

Hope everyone has a cool day! :)

In 53 days...Michael and I will be onboard the Disney Dream for the SSMC 2011...I can't wait. I am still a bit scared but Michael and I are going to go parasailing!!!!! No backing out this time...gotta do it!!!!!

Take care and have a great day.....:flower3:

I can't wait

I have tried to post or join the Facebook group but it says it's a closed group. Can someone please add me? Tacey Atkinson

I would also love to have a pin for each of us.

My daughter has never cruised, oh, I think I said that, she is also excited about the extended veranda.
