hello all-
i am a fanatical dis lurker- emabarassing to admit how many hours i spend reading others' posts... Finally found the courage to post as we are so excited to be crusing for the first time as a family. It will be me, dh, ds(10), dd(7), and i just booked dmil with a trade through ii. It is going to be a surprise christmas gift for her! We are masters at wdw, but have so much to learn about dcl, i look forward to learning from all of you. Wishing everyone a magical day!

Welcome aboard! So happy to have another new face! I can't tell you how long I "lurked" before I decided to start posting, but as ALL of my friends will tell you who cruised with me in '09, it didn't take me long to chat away - right, Mary! But I will tell you one thing, this is a fabulous group on individuals who I am very proud to tell you are all now people I truly call "friends" no matter how far apart we are - and I hope you will come to enjoy chatting with them as much as I do!

As a matter of fact, I wish we were all close enough to meet up - all the time! That would be soooo much fun.

Although it's a beautiful Tuesday here so far, I'm a little down in the dumps today. I need to stop doing things that I would just normally do because all it does is making me wish things were back as they were, and they aren't going to be - so it makes me sad. Silly me! Oh bother . . .

But I have to share something with all of you. My dear son Tom sends me Bible verses to help me along, which I think is so cute of him, and this is one he sent me that I printed out and read every morning:
"This is my command - be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

So this will be my happy thought for the day!! Love all you guys!!

It is another cool day here in the middle of Iowa. High's in the low 70's. It is supposed to warm up a little by the weekend and we are sure hoping it does.

Chris I know this 3 weeks are going to fly by. I think Dave & Gary have 5 weeks to go as there is a week between our cruises.

We are most definately doing Irish Fest...haven't missed it in the past 25 years or so. It will be a little different this year without Chuck from our favorite band. They are doing a tribute concert to him on Saturday and the band is doing two sets on one of the smaller stages on Friday and Saturday. Some great new acts this year as well like the High Kings so it is something we are really looking forward to.
