I know I am slow but I thought I would share some of our photos from last weekend. Keep in mind that I didn't take that many for some reason. :confused3

Great photos Chris. Now I'm hungry!!!!

and Congrats Becca!! Have lots of fun at college!!! :yay:

Chris, all of them are terrific! Looks like you had good weather, but didn't you say it was cold!

Hey Sue! :goodvibes

Yes, even though the sun is shining it was chilly while we were down there. I mean Saturday I had on jeans, long sleeved Disney Shirt and my coat. Wow! It wasn't bad if you were in the sun with no wind. Then Sunday was a little better. I wore capri pants and Bob and the David's wore shorts. I say David's because both of our friends we were with are named David. :confused3 But we still had our jackets. In the afternoon we were able to wrap them around our waists for a bit but were glad to have them with us.

And of course on Monday when we were getting ready to leave it was gorgeous. We were to warm in our jeans and t-shirts to make the trek back home. But we were glad to have them on when we got back. :rolleyes1

Just wondering Sue, was the balloon ride a late anniversary gift or a just because I love you thing?

Either way it is a cool gift. You are very lucky!

It's kind of a funny story. It was actually my special birthday gift for my 50th birthday. And we were supposed to go up like the next day after DH gave it to me. So next morning we get up early and go out - it was beautiful because it was December and it had just lightly snowed! They got out the balloon and started to fill it. It got about half way inflated, and all of the sudden the wind changed. They tried one more time, and then the pilot said there was some sort of wind draft that had occurred and it would be dangerous to go up. So we were bummed about cancelling but of course understood. Well, then the weather turned into winter (and nasty) so we waited until spring - and then all sorts of things kept pushing it off - and off - and off. That was five years ago!! So out of the blue last night, John surprised me and we had great luck today!! It was well worth waiting for!! :thumbsup2

Chris,

We will take lots of pics I promise. I also have a little tree packed for the trip. Since it is the holiday I figured why not. ALso, since DS is down in Mt Vernon, Il for work at least we will have a tree together. I mean he will come home for Christmas but just for 2 days.

We are also driving down for the first time in a long time. So wish us luck with the weather. If you and Sue fit in the back you are more then welcome to come.

I have to say your pic's are great. Keep them coming, Those deserts look great.:)

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know Sue did, those are awesome photos, and Chris I am still jealous and you are already home! Your pics were great as well!

Flo and Monika have a great time as well!

Good morning everyone, happy Monday!

Back to work today after a weekend of more purging. We made a really good dent into getting rid of things. Found some gems, but mostly lots of old junk that is either being tossed (if in bad shape) or donated (if in good shape). It feels good to get the attic cleaned up. We've been in the house almost 20 years and it needed it. :) Other than that it was a pretty quiet weekend.

Sue and Chris - great pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. Have a great day everyone!

Good Monday Morning. :goodvibes

Dianne - it was like a Rose' Regal. Kinda like a champagne. It was very good.

Sue - Sorry to Sammy this year. As we walked by the line was long and I already had a beverage in hand right then. I did say to Bobby that I was passing by Sue's beer! :rotfl2:

Flo - best wishes for good weather driving down. It is a long drive. Nice drive, but long. How fun you are taking a tree with you. That will "spruce" up your room. :rotfl2:

Have a fantastic day! :flower3:

Was it Banfi? Must be the sun though because I've always seen it darker, but then we usually have it indoors not out in bright light. If it is it's really really good with chocolate. It has been known on the Blabbermouth group (who first introduced me to it) to have 3-4 bottles brought to the dessert buffet. In fact on the wedding cruise this past July that's what the bride's father ordered for the toasting instead of champagne. We just picked up a bottle this past weekend to bring to a holiday party we are going to on Saturday.

Flo - which route are you taking? We drove down at Thanksgiving last year and the weather and roads were great. Coming back home in early December it was pretty much the same. Only problem coming back was a nasty storm rolled through the night before down in Orlando so we got a later start than normal coming home.

We brought a small tree with us last year and I'm so glad we did. Really brightened up the room. We're heading out to Disneyland this year by plane so no tree but we'll manage. Last year we didn't put up a tree at home and we are this year so I'll get to enjoy a tree still.
