Just back from our fabulous trip on March 20th Magic. Cast is Myself (Lori-mom) husband-Bob, Isaac 15, Jacob 13, Grace 8, and Corrina 8. Our 2nd Magic journey. My husbands 1st trip.

We drove down from Iowa on Tuesday and arrived at the Raddison on Thursday...picked up rental car at budget that afternoon as we were driving RV. Thursday night at 4:00 we headed to Grills for dinner and a table to watch the Wonder head out on her voyage. Very exciting. Friday we went to Discovery Cove in Orlando on Friday. If you have never done Discovery Cove...you are missing an incredible experience. It gave the kids a fabulous chance to get extra snorkeling practice as well without the current. I highly recommend Discovery Cove to one and all. Worth every penny.

Saturday morning at 7 Bob took the car back to Budget and then walked back to the hotel. We loaded up the RV for the short trip to port. I was going to be checking 8 bags in. plus 3 carryons. We arrived at the port around 10. They were not letting us drop curbside...and the parking attendant (jake) was very helpful. He told us to park near the white tent and then when things opened he would lead my husband over to park and pay. The luggage people came out to the white tent a few minutes after 10 and took our luggage and told us to go on in.
We were one of the first people in the building as they were not letting cars in curbside yet. No lines for security.....jake helped Bob park and he was inside with us in 5 minutes time.

Were onboard right at noon...Sent Bob and kids to Parrot Cay for buffet...I went straight to Rockin Bar D for reservations for Palo...brunch....I was at the buffet within another 5 minutes...ate all the shrimp and Mango soup...none left for anyone else. Hung around for awhile for one or two desserts ok, maybe 5 or more. whos counting. The boys left the minute they finished their food and were never seen again. oh they turned up once in awhile. The girls and I took Bob on a tour of the ship...went right up to deck 5 to get the girls signed up for club and get the pager. Last trip we waited until evening and it was quite an ordeal to sign up...but doing this right during embarking was much better and no stress. The rooms were not opened until 1:30 so we went up to Deck 9 and 10 to check things out and show Bob around. Pools were not open yet which was a disappointment to the girls who wanted to jump in right after lunch...but it was not to be. Got some ice cream and layed on Deck 10 until 1:30....Bob was thinking he was going to sleep just like the guy on the commercial. Went to rooms 6074 and 6072 adjoining and checked out the room...luggage arrived during the afternoon and I had it all put away before the boat drill.

Lynn Swan was onboard saw him a number of times the first day. I went to Guest Services for tickets to Tea with
Wendy and a Bridge Tour. Sailaway Party was great. Left 15 minutes late but up on Deck 10 we watched the dolphins jumping with us along the boat.

Hair braiding reservations were being taken at 5:30...dinner was at 6...cutting it close...not very convenient. Sent kids and Bob to get dressed and I got in line. Most ridiculous line lots of mothers to sign up their young daughters and then there are these 6 adult women near the front all wanting to get their hair braided but can't decide on a style, time and day...they took 20 minutes...10 after six when my turn I took an 8:00 a.m. on Monday at sea so the girls could get it done at the same time...kind of early for them but I knew we did not want to go to St. Maarten without having our hair braided...you get bombarded. Then ran up to get dressed...but the adjoining room door had shut and I was locked out of my room where my clothes were...so to dinner with the clothes on I boarded in...my Dis shirt and shorts....oh my!!! Our servers were Toar and Agus, Allen was our head server and Kenneth our Room Host. Great first night...good food... not excellent but very good. Had photos with Stitch...walked around and then to bed.....More tomorrow.

Boarding early is great isn't it! We have to go to Palo Brunch next time!!!

What time did the the palo ressie line open? I see that you all boarded around 12.

Thanks
