That app looks amazing, I might just have to use that one when I take Mia. Though I find that even after I make a ton of plans I never really follow the plan. Oh well it won't stop me from planning, right.
Corrine, the app is great! I used Lines in May and fell in love with it. I didn't use TP's plans at all (glanced at them), but did read, for each trip, about good and bad times to visit attractions.
I don't like being tied down, but this plan is so flexible, I think I'm going to attempt using a plan in March.
This is just an idea, but have you thought about getting an extra battery for your phone just in case you run out of power. I wish I had thought about bringing an extra battery for my camera in May because even on a full charge I found I was running out of battery by the end of the day. Ran out of battery at CP and almost missed a pic with Eeyore. Ended up taking a small video and a pic with my phone.
I don't know if you can change out the battery in an iPhone 3GS.

I can't figure out how to change one if it is possible. Not to mention, I'm terrified to take my case off (it's cracking). I worry if I mess with the case, it will fall apart -- and it's the Wicked Queen! I can't ruin my case!
I carry an extra battery for my camera though (but not my video). Granted, right now, it has gone missing. I dunno why things grow legs and walk off. I'm hoping it will turn up when I start packing and cleaning.
Sorry that you almost missed out on a pic opportunity.

That's never fun to feel stressed to get a picture! However, I am glad you was able to improvise and snag something.
We went on Liam's Wish Trip in September 2009 and was able to see WDW dressed up for Halloween. We were lucky to be able to attend the MNSSHP and it was to much fun. The Boo to you parade was a lot of fun and Hallowishes was just amazing. One day I will go during Christmas. I really don't want to go when the park is jam packed, but I will figure it out.
How lucky to see Halloween events! One day I'll see them. And one day I'll see the Christmas decor. I've watched videos of the parades and Wishes on
youtube ... but it's still not the same as seeing it LIVE!
Love that app... I haven't seen that yet - I'll have to hop over there one of these days and check it out. I love to plan, but I don't like to be down to the minutes, because I really like to relax and live in the moment too. But it would be a great time waster until our trip comes - like I need to waste any time. LOL
D~
I "shared" the article on FB to read up on it.
Just keep in mind, you can do the plan, change it as you need to, and even if you don't follow it for 3 hours, you can re-optimize it on the spot and get back into the swing! It's amazing! You don't have to be tied down to the plan, you can customize it on the spot, you can be spontaneous, you can fall off the wagon and get back on. If you decide you want a break, take it. I love the "optimize" button!!!! I'm soooo excited! I just love that it will give me a plan where I barely wait. My kids do NOT do well in line, and standing is very rough on my hips ... so I'd rather walk (and sit down as needed), and it will help me plan. Plus, if we pass by Buzz and it has no wait, we can hop on instead of going to the Speedway like it says, come off Buzz and reoptimize, and move on. It's brilliant!
And yes, it does give us a new toy to play with over the next few months. I just love that I can set it up online and it gets sent to my phone.
Oh that is so fun!!! We just used the WDW app from Verizon last time we were there. But THIS app so totally fits with my WDW planning and dreaming obsession!
I'm not very familiar with the Verizon app (since I'm not on their network) ... so I can't compare it. But I used Lines in May and loved it. Even before the change, I planned to use Lines in March. I do sometimes pull up the WDW mobile page and see what it says, but I found Lines was accurate. Plus, when I wanted to update the "wait time" for an attraction, I could either key in what WDW showed as the wait, or I could time the wait and it would use a stop-watch-like feature and submit the wait. I know sometimes WDW estimated waits are a bit high (which I'd rather it say 20 minutes and I only wait 10 than vice versa).
I recommend it ... and a subscription isn't expensive.
I'll answer any questions anyone may has about the app or website. They do an awesome job with explaining things themselves, but sometimes it's easier to just ask than try to find info.
