March 2012: Spring Break, Here we come! Threadjackers take over the world!

The only night EMH I have ever done was Epcot, I too would love to do EMH at MK on the 4th but unless DH and I have a sudden burst of energy after dinner at CG that evening I think it will be an early night for us. It sucks getting old

My MK plans for that day is after check-in at CR , head over to MK for lunch at LTT 1 pm and maybe do the Riverboat, Hall of Presidents and Haunted Mansion while we wait to hear our room is ready. Other than HM I am thinking on such a high crowd day maybe the Riverboat and Hall of Presidents won't be too busy.

Those would probably be some "safe" attractions to hit. I would recommend grabbing a FP if any available (for something).

Your plans do sound really nice though! Very laid-back and easy going.

Too bad I can't handle that. I'm all, let's get this party started NOW!

I would like to try EMH at MK that night too, but that is our arrival day and I don't know if my DM and DS will be up for it. DS just now getting to the point where he can stay up a little later without making me crazy.

Our plan is to head over to EP to wait on our room, depending on our arrival time, and dinner at Rose & Crown.

EP was my alternative for arrival day. I'm terrified it's going to be packed and we'll have a stressful start ... but who knows.

I don't plan on staying the full EMH. Odds are, we'll be leaving the park before 11pm ... because I'll be tired and we have AM EMH the next morning. I'm just going to play it by ear. But my goal is a late night Space Mtn ride.

Arrival days on recent trips DH and I both are not up to staying out late, we usually are going from 4 or so that morning since we take early flights.

DH is always exhausted ... and I am, too ... but once I arrive at WDW, I get that second wind and I'm ready to go full throttle. Something about being there just gets me wired up.

We're driving, my DM is to cheap to fly. My best friend my be getting married in Louisville on the 3rd as well so it could be all night driving for us. We normally stop and get a good nights sleep just before the FL border.

We're too cheap (and broke) to fly ... but we don't have as long as a drive as you.

Well, we are getting brave this time and planning all of our park days and ADRs around nighttime EMH for all four parks. We may have to get up early on some days just to grab some FP's that run out quickly (TSM) then take a mid-day break to rest, but mostly the plan is to sleep later and stay up later. Are we crazy??? IDk~we shall see...

We did all AM EMH's 2010 and I loved it. But we mostly want to avoid people, so we usually try to hit "least crowded" parks.

I dunno if I could (personally) focus my attention to the late night EMHs. I can't wait to hear about your experiences!!!!!!!

I've pondered and pondered and I am not quite sure what "OMH" stands for. Someone care to fill me in?

We don't often wait in lines. We make fair use of the FP and hit up attractions during parades. If standby says 20+ minutes, we keep walking. We fill our time between rides with shows.

Well, I take that back ... In June 2009, we did standby for Kali. I didn't look to see what the wait was ... but FPs were GONE. We waited well over an hour (I think it was closer to two). We were all cranky from the heat ... and I wasn't quite sure we would all make it to the boat. But it was HOT and we needed to cool down, and I just wasn't thinking right. We did want to ride the ride ... but was very much disappointed in it. However, it served it's core purpose. We were drenched.

I would hate to go during weeks when the parks reach their capacity. Well, okay, I'd love to go anytime ... but not so sure I'd have much fun if I couldn't even walk down the street.

I love seeing "crowd pictures". NO ONE looks happy in them. Well, I hate that part, but I love seeing how crowded it can get!

Here's hoping for low crowds and manageable waits!

I had to take mom to the ER Friday afternoon, and have been up at the hospital most of the weekend with her (she's home now), so I haven't gotten much accomplished. I did do a little bit of shopping Saturday, but haven't even gotten the machine setup yet.

Thanks for the well-wishes for her D.

I didn't post about my mom on FB. I meant about the sewing machine.

Mom requested I didn't mention her being in the hospital, so I kept my fingers quiet.

She's doing okay now, but she was having chest pains. She's already had stints and a bypass, so we take chest pains very seriously. She did well on her stress test and EKGs all looked good.

I did try to play with my machine last night ... and I just can't get it to thread bobbins to save my life. I even watched the DVD it came with, and I was doing it right. It worked if I was forcing the thread, but I had to hold it and not loop it around the guide. I had to push the spool around and then it would "catch" and work for a bit. I'm going to have mom look at it, and if she can't figure it out, I'm going to see if I can swap it out. I'm going to check a different spool and try different bobbins just to see if maybe it was the thread and/or bobbin I was using that was the issue. Unless anyone has suggestions.

Anyway ... hopefully I can get it sorted out soon, and pics to follow!
